On our recent vacation we ate at Salty Dog, Wreck of the Salty Dog, Roastfish & Cornbread, The Studio, Alligator Grille, Dye's Gullah Fixins, Old Fort Pub, Black Marlin & The Parrot whatever for lunch when we were leaving. Don't go to the Parrot whatever. For reasonably priced, delicious food, we loved R&C, Dye's & Black Marlin. The studio & Alligator were delicious, but much more expensive, even with the coupons we had. But I would go back to either. Old Fort Pub was also pricey, they overcooked my steak (the only steak I had all week- I usually eat fish and needed a break- they did make me a new one that was delicious), but the view was unbeatable- even with rain and no sunset.

I would pick Dye's, Roastfish or Black Marlin. We would have gone back to Roastfish on our last night, but they are closed on Mondays- but then we had a nice meal at Black Marlin that night, so it all worked out.

Dye's is real lowcountry, Gullah food- we ate the buffet, and I really couldn't tell you which thing was my favorite, it was all so good. Ok, maybe the sweet potato cornbread. And that onion pie. YUMMMMMMM!; R&C was a lighter twist on lowcountry seafood (although my hubby had stew there that was not fish, and it was fantastic). Black Marlin was more of a regular seafood place (the tuna nachos were AWESOME!). Too hard to choose. You need to stay longer!
