HHI beach stuff?

We will be at HHI the last week of March We hope to enjoy some beach time although I'm pretty doubtful about getting into the ocean (too chilly!). Are there chairs available for rental or should we provide our own? We will be driving so could easily bring anything we need. Crossing our fingers for a warm up over the next 3 weeks! Right now the temps here are warmer than they are in HHI!

First, there are chairs / loungers at the Disney Beach house if you just want to sit around the pool in the sun.

At the beach, there are usually chairs for rent during the "season", but I'm not sure about March as it is clearly pre-season.

In the past we've purchased inexpensive folding beach chairs at WalMart or KMart at HH. You can usually pay for them by saving 2 - 3 days rental.

I'd not worry about it and check things out when you get there. You may find that the two pool areas plus sitting on your "back porch" at HH are all you need, along with sitting on a towel at the beach.

The ocean temp at HH right now is 59! (But it was only 52 a week ago!!!)

By late March it could be upper 60s/low 70s.

I think the Beach Patrol might be in place by late March, but agree that buying some cheap beach chairs at Walmart might serve a purpose and save some $$ - and the resort Beach House does have lounge chairs and will be out of the wind if sitting there appeals at all (and you can still take a nice walk on the beach).

We are at HH right now and there were kids in the ocean 2 days ago! A little too cool for me, but they appeared to be having a great time.

We have either brought our own chairs or bought them at the Wal-mart. Either way its cheaper than renting!

We will also be there the last week of March. We went there last year at the same time and it was cold and rainy the whole week. Hoping for better weather this year!

I hope we have better weather this year! We are in Louisiana almost directly west of HHI. What little winter we had is GONE over here. The trees are budding and flowers blooming about 2 weeks ahead of normal. I'm hoping we will have a warm, sunny week in HHI. But I know how fickle spring can be. A cold snap can come and make us think winter is back.

We will bring some beachy things but for most of it we will just wait until we get there. I'm so looking forward to a relaxing week away from home.

We're about 9 hours north of HHI in Virginia and we too are at least 2 weeks ahead of normal, not blooming yet, but much ahead. So, hopefully you'll find inviting weather at HHI when you get there. Good luck.
