HHI Availability

Anyone tried booking HHI? I have looked all the way through the end of the year and apparently not one single day is available. Is this correct or something going on in system.

Hard to say with Disney IT (!) but will say it is definitely a difficult place to get in "normal" times and I think now with COVID many people are opting out for going to WDW so they are venturing to HHI or VB. We are BLT & VB owners but took our first trip to HHI this summer since all other travel plans fell through. We loved it! But I first got 2 nights, then added one, then one, then one more, to get my five full nights I wanted but it took a bit of stalking (I waitlisted as well but since they batch those had more luck stalking!) I would continue to look daily and hoping something opens for you!

I think what ngl suggested is probably correct. You might want to consider one of two things. First, depending on when you want to go, look into cash. When we go, November, cash rates on weekends are actually a better deal, we figure, than using points. And surprisingly, occasionally rooms will be available for cash even when there's nothing available on points. It happened to us one year-we were on the waiting list, and I finally called and asked if the room was available on member's cash and it was. The other possibility is to put yourself on the waiting list. Plans are changing for people so much right now-travel/don't travel. But whatever you do, don't give up on going to HHI-I predict you'll be so glad you did!

DVC has HHI availability in 2020. Random days here and there and even a few in a row here and there. More 1BR and 2BR. But even some studio nights. Between now and Dec.

how odd. i looked just this morning and nothing from today through end of year. I was thinking later in the year when its cooler wouldnt be as crowded. I used to go every September, but won't make it then this year.

Studios didn't have much. Maybe a few weekends in Dec. Were you only looking at studios? 2BR have the most days open and then 1BR.

I was a HHI owner, until last month. And we would book off season and it too does book up this late in the game (1-3 months out) but not as badly as it is this year and I do think it's from all the COVID cancelled trips and unused points people trying to use points. Past couple years, though, only weekends tend to be open this last minute because weekends at HHI cost way more points than weekdays. Also Thanksgiving and Xmas-New Year's have a big following at HHI and book up quick.

I just booked Hilton head a couple weeks ago. Just got here today. Staying one night in a studio than three nights in a one bedroom. More people will be dropping their reservation. People are scared. Was suppose to be at wdw right now but wife was scared but wasn’t scared of Hilton head. But lots of people are scared of Hilton head.

I have three nights in HH In October, and I’m putting off a decision based on numbers, and if we have to self quarantine when we get home. Initially these three nights were in September but I was lucky to be able to move them. I hope the extra 2 1/2 weeks make the numbers better.

Just cancelled. A doctor‘s appointment was more important to me. If I went and had to quarantine for two weeks, doctor is scheduled to be away for the next two weeks. Shucks, but I am glad I called office and learned the repercussions.
