We have a ressie at HHI for the 2nd week of May. Just DH and me for an early Anniversary trip. Last time we snagged HHI was also for an anniversary, although 5 years ago. That time we splurged on the private dinner that was available form Chef Gordon(? - I think that was the name). Anyway, I know that is not offered any longer. :sad1: Are there any other activities that would be enjoyed by 2 adults? Cooking classes, meals, etc?

Thanks in advance!:goodvibes

Sorry, I don't know of any activities. I agree, Chef Gordon's Private Affair would have been perfect. But when you check in, be sure to tell them it's your anniversary. There's a resort channel, and I can't be the only geek who sits there and checks every day to see whose special occassion is being announced on TV. I think it's really a neat little thing to do.

We really enjoyed the Dolphin Cruise thru the resort and I think that Harbor Town offers some sunset cruses that would be romantic. Happy Anniversary.

We are going to HHI in June for the first time -
very interested in knowing more info, too !

:cool1:

I would suggest going to dinner at the Old Fort Pub to celebrate your anniversary. Try to make a reservation around sunset. It's my very favorite restaurant.

I second the Dolphin Cruise. Don't know about other "planned" activities, but rent some bikes and do some touring. One night plan to grille your own dinner. You can get some nifty small charcoal bags that you can find at the Piggly Wiggly, and just light the bag and it goes on it's own.

They have a nice area with a grille, chairs for two and a picnic table looking into the marina approach that has a nice sunset. And it is interesting to watch the boats coming home for the evening.

Enjoy yourselves and create your own activities

I loved the kayaking- we saw so many dolphins, and the guide was very knowledgable about the area. We learned alot about the area's ecosystem from him. Now, that time I was with my DS11, but while we were there, at sunset, we saw groups going out- that could be romantic, especially if your DH does all the paddling!:rotfl:

I want to say they went out at sunset, and then were out there for the fireworks, but I'm not sure.

I also think there's a winery or some kind of wine shop down there that offers tastings-

It is such a great place- can't wait to go back in August!:dance3: Have a wonderful visit!

That is hysterical....we always visit around my husbands, my oldest and my middle childs B-day, we love to watch the resort channel. You should see us sitting with the camera trying to take the picture as it flashes up. My son used to think he was a star (in his younger days).

Don't forget, you get balloons delivered also.

I agree that kayaking is a GREAT activity. No a ton of energy but very relaxing, informative, and most of the time you will get to see dolphins near by. I went kayaking during my last trip and I plan to do it again next time.
