If you are coming South on I-95 and have never been to HH, the catch is that HH proper is about 30 minutes or more (depending on traffic)EAST of 95...so you are adding somewhere around an hour or more to your travel time to WDW just because you have to get off the highway and then back. In other words, it is not right off the exit at 95. Is it worth a stop? Sure...but I would not be inclined to do it for just one night simply to break up a long drive. I personally would prefer to just find a hotel right on the interstate, save the travel time, and then do HH as a destination all on its own another trip. Five or so hours from HH to Disney sounds about right. (By the way, I love HH and the Disney property there!)

We did the HH to WDW trip last year. It was about 347 miles and took us about 6.5 hours. We don't hurry and made several stops. If I remember correctly, it was an okay drive. Like another poster mentioned, after leaving I95 it takes a bit to actually get to the resort. But it is a great place to stay. We are headed there in Sept. Not much longer now .

It always takes us 5 hours (or a tiny bit less) to get there. We do plan for traffic though and avoid it---never leave the island on a Sat. in the summer months unless you leave very early in the morning. We don't stop to eat since if you leave HH by 7 or 8 am, you can be enjoying a sandwich at the Earl by lunch time! We also wait until arrival to get gas at the Hess station near DTD since it seems to be the cheapest place in Orlando. Oh, this thread is making me ready for a road trip south!
