HH: Tide Me Over is CLOSED for the next 4 weeks

Apparently, something happened to the floor and it had to be replaced immediately (and unexpectedly). They expect the repairs to take about 4 weeks, so plan accordingly!

I'm going to HH for the first time in a couple of weeks. What will I be missing (don't know what Tide Me Over is)?

Tide Me Over is the snack bar at the beach house. I had heard that they had had some unexpected problems there, but were hoping to have it open by Thanksgiving.

I guess if it had to happen, it's a good thing that it wasn't in the middle of the summer!

Tide Me Over is not at the beach house, it is at the resort next to the Broad Creek Mercantile. Signals, at the beach house, is open. Just don't want to confuse anyone!

DUH! I guess I'm really in need of my Thanksgiving trip to HH as a refresher course!

Are you sure Signals is open for Thanksgiving? When we were there for Thanksgiving two years ago at the same time it wasn't.
Will they move a modified snack bar temporarily to anywhere else?

Sorry, I have no idea if Signal's is open around Thanksgiving. Do they close certain times of the year? They were open last week.

This is good news for me but bad news for my DS. I was wondering how I was going to go for a whole week without the chicken fingers and fries meal at Tide me Over, now I won't have to worry about it until I'm in the maintenence phase of South Beach - thank goodness - disaster averted!

I'm debating whether to tell my son about this. He loves ordering lunch from Tide me Over and was just talking about it the other day.

Thanks for letting us know about this. 13 days to go until we check-in! We are all getting very excited!

Signals was open last year at Thanksgivng because I ate there!

They will close Signals during the off season during times of low occupancy. Since Thanksgiving week is usually sold out they will open it during this time and (my guess) keep it open until Tide Me Over reopens.

Not much happens at the beach house during the off season. We have been there in Oct, Nov, and Feb and have had the Beach House all to ourselfs.

I was led to believe that Signals will be open extended hours while Tide Me Over is closed. Signals was open 11 - 3 the week before last then changed to 11 - 5 when Tide Me Over closed.

That's good as we are in a studio for a couple of days and some good "grease" will be just what my DS, DD,& DS (age 14) will be sniffing around for!

oh well...having never been there is Signals would have been closed anyway and is now open instead I guess its a break even proposition.
