Yay. We're going to HH this Sunday through Friday. 2 bedroom. We're meeting another couple friends. And this is our first in HH.

Should I request a special building?? 2nd floor? Or is it too late?

Another last minute restaurant suggestions? I didn't get much time to plan for this trip. But we're all very much looking forward to it.

We were there in April as our first trip as DVC members. We had requested a marsh view and got it. It was very peaceful to look out on. Try to get a reservation with Chef Gordon to "A Private Affair". It is well worth it. One of the places that we ate that we really enjoyed was the Old Oyster Factory.

Have Fun!

I will second that what you really want is a marsh view. I would further request a higher floor, although, if you are not in the lodge, that will mean the lugging of your stuff up more stairs.

As for the local restaurants, The Old Oyster Factory is a good place to go to with your family. The view from their deck is very nice. I don't know whether they will have entertainment, as it may still be too early for that, but nonetheless, it is fun. I would also recommend going to Sea Pines at least once.

Enjoy your trip. I envy you, but I will be there for the July 4th festivities!

We were there last week. We really liked our room location. If you like to be by the pool, room 2621 is great. It is on the 2nd floor so no noise above you, plus we liked that our balcony was higher - a little more private. We were very close to Broad Creek Mercantile, Community Hall, pool entrance, campfire pit, etc. We were still able to see the Marsh off to the side of our balcony although I'm not sure what the attraction is to have a marsh view. Was I missing something? A lot of times it looked muddy. We had a great time. Can't wait to go back next year.
