Planning our next trip and wondered what people would do? I only have about 180 points so I'd like to conserve and do studio(s) or inn room(s)
We may try to get one or two units for the end of March 2009

We stayed at HHI in 2004 and loved it, we stayed at VB last year and loved it too. Had to book both day-by-day right at the 7 month window. Got what we wanted no waitlists.

VB- Pros is the weather will most likely be nicer(warmer)
Cons - not too much I can think of other than we were there more recently than HHI, and that we'll be using more points

HHI - Pros - Less points, can possibly get two or more studios
Cons - Cooler weather, based on weather.com averages (would welcome any input/recent experience from others) - Not a great number of studios available so booking will be tight or not available.

I'm curious to hear what others would do and your thoughts on booking probabilities (alot more members now).

Peace,
G4L

You pretty much have the pros & cons with the weather (temps). Don't think you would have any problem in Late March 2009 at either resort.

As someone who's been to both, I absolutely love Hilton Head. So I recommend that over Vero.

I've been to both HHI and VB at the end of March. Of course the time I was in HHI, the week before the weather had been great(mid 70's), I got there and it was 10 degrees coolers. Still great for someone from OH, but the locals were all bundled up like I do when it 10 degrees. Windy too on the beach. More things to do around HHI and not have to drive very far(could even bike if you were inclined to).

Was just at VB for Easter this year. Windy a couple of days, but other than one day, I was swimming in the pool or ocean. Being farther south you have a better chance of getting warmer weather that time of year. The resort is rather remote, so going shopping or off site to dine is time consuming. We went up to Melbourne to see the Tigers play the Nationals one day. I believe the Baltimore team is moving it's spring training to Vero, since the Dodgers are leaving. This is if someone is baseball inclined.
