HH Mid August

Is anybody going to HH in mid August? We will be there from 8/10 - 16.

We were there last July 11-16 and it was Hot, humid! Beach was the best place to be! The main pool got so hot in the early afternoon that when CM started pool games(around 1pm) they dumped a huge rolling cart(used for laundry) of ICE into it! Very fun. The ocean was very refreshing as was the pool at the Beach House. Evenings are pleasant. Can't wait to go back.

Yes, we will be there (in a 2br) from the 17th through the 22nd. Looks like we'll just miss you though. Have a great trip! It's getting close!

The family and I will be in a wonderful 2 bedroom unit from 8/9 through 8/18.

Beach, sun and sand and a much slower pace of life for the next 9 days..

My family and I will be there in a 2 bdrm and a studio (hopefully close to each other) from 8/17 to 8/22. It's our first time to HH, we are very excited! Hope you enjoy your trip as well!

I think there is a members event sometime during each week. I remember reading about it somewhere.

For those of you with August HHI trips, I'm curious -- how far back did you secure your reservations (especially those of you with 2brs!)

I know that a lot of the SC schools start in mid August; I don't own at HH and was wondering how impossible it would be to get mid August at the 7 mos window.

I booked mine at the 7 month mark. I waitlisted for a one bedroom, but it never came through. Since we have a two bedroom and only 5 in our family, we invited my MIL.

CK1 - We booked both a 2 bdrm and a studio at the 7 month window for Aug. 17th thru 22nd. We originally tried for the grand villa, but no luck, then we changed our mind to the 2 seperate rooms (it's less points). We did try to get the week earlier than we are going. The 2 bdrm was no problem, but they didn't have the studio. From what they told me, studios and the GVs are the hardest to get. Good luck booking your vacation!

We have a 2 BD from Aug 24 to 28th. We'll be arriving from OKW (our first "summer" WDW trip). HH is our second home, so I booked at 11 mos. But I slightly overbooked (it was before we decided to add OKW on the front end) so when I shortened our HH stay, some lucky DVCer got 2 nts. leading into Labor Day weekend, only 3 months out. I was able to add OKW at that time, but I did 5 nts. piecemeal & the waitlist came thru so we have a studio for one nt. & 1BD for the balance of our OKW stay. I can't wait for this trip. First time we've combined OKW & HH.

i booked our 2 br at 11 mos out but we decided 8 plus a toddler was too crowded for 2 br so i secretly tried to get a studio (went on waitlist) for my parents at about 45 days out and at exactly 30 days, my waitlist came thru for their studio! they said that never happens and i'm very lucky! so for my dad's birthday, i surprised him with his own room at HH. This will be my mom's first time there; we could never talk her into it before. I think having her own place this time made the difference. I can't WAIT til she sees the resort! HH here we come!
