HH - July Still Available!

We are going to HH this Sunday. We checked out Expedia for a place to stay for Saturday night prior to going to the resort Sunday morning.

Behold, Disney has studio, 1BR and 2BR online!

I called member services and I was able to get a 2 BR for Saturday with the DVC 25% cash discount. WOW

Now, its linked to the original and we won't have to move and we pick up another day! Kind of like Christmas!

I wonder if DVC will re-allocate the HH weekend points - 99 points is alot for a 2BR on Saturday! Obviously, a lot of us must feel that way.

We will also be at HH on Sunday. We'll be the ones chasing the energetic 2 year old all over the place. Were you there about this time last year? Seems I remember reading your trip report we also went last July). We had thought about a cash night, just might have to rethink that option. Thanks.

We'll be at HH this Sunday also. We had originally planned to stay until Friday morning, but called Monday and got a cash room with member discount for Friday night.
We still won't want to leave for home, but maybe staying that extra night will help a little.

I called a few days ago to see if there was anything available with points for the first 2 weeks of Aug. Nothing, they did not even mention weekends. I thought HH was nearly sold out. I am surprised the have any cash ressies in the summer besides the 3 % they dont sell in points. I have wait listed for a long time for Aug also. No luck. My use month is sold out so is also not an option to buy more points to stay.

If HH members use their points for one of the non-DVC options (and I'm sure that some do), rooms must be rented for cash to pay for those options. Since Saturday nights cost significantly more points than the other days, it doesn't surprise me that those are the nights that end up getting rented out for cash. Many members avoid Saturday nights and the general public most likely prefers them over the weeknights. JMHO. YMMV.
