HH dvd players?

For those who have been to HH lately - have the vcr's been switched to dvd players yet? Going in 3 weeks ! and wondering if we should bring a few movies with us...

We did have a DVD player at HH over New Years'. I was shocked. I was told that they're slowly phasing them in -- apparently it's very slowly!!

At the Mercantile, they still only had VHS for checkout.

How's that for confusing the issue for you?

I have one of those cheap personal DVD players with the built in screen. I hook it up to the living room tv evey trip. (remember to hook the vcr back up). when I was there last Sept., A dvc pickup full of DVD/vcr combo came in, and they unloaded them into a storage facility. I guess they are going to wait until each vcr breaks before replacing. I must be cheeper to buy all at once, and just wait for maintence reasons to replace, than to replace all at once.

As for movies, you will need to go to blockbuster or bring your own. Of all the DVC resorts, HHI has the worst selections.

If I could campaign on 2 issuse at an owners meeting, it would be how to get better movies, and starting a towel checkin to keep folks from leaving pool towels on chairs when they are done.
