HGTV shows?

Oh so many. I like the ones where they do the fix up the old place but also try to find a new place. I know it is all fake and most actually stay in the old place so definitely Love it or List It. I also like anything with the Scott brothers.

I find most of them very watchable. We really enjoy seeing how out of touch people are with what things cost. The old champagne tastes on a beer budget (although given what some craft beers cost these days, that cliche may be outdated!).
You want $150,000 in improvements, and your budget is $70,000. Or you want 50% more home in your neighborhood for 10% more money.

I always hate to break the bubble but it is all just for t.v. They ask the person what their dream home would be with 0 money issues and that's how they get those crazy lists. Before they ever start filming everyone knows exactly what they are in for. All those "last minute find" and "lost plans" are never true haha. My friends in Canada even got paid to be a "show house" because a crew for one of the shows was in the area while they were moving. The got paid like 500 bucks to let different couples look around even though the house wasn't on the market and they literally had just bought it and were moving in. They wanted a house with nothing in it so it looked like a house that had been sitting empty on the market.

I really enjoy House Hunters and don't care if it's fake :)

Also, like PP, I like the shows that combine house hunting and renovations, such at Love It or List It, Property Brothers Buying and Selling, and House Hunters Renovation.

I like Fixer Upper and Love It or List It. I used to love, love Trading Spaces but it has been gone for a while. I am not a fan of House Hunters International and Tiny Houses. And I so wish Sunday offered something other beach houses or island life.

It's been a long time since I watched HGTV on a regular basis. Like, Trading Spaces long. I do, however, have every intention of winning the Dream Home giveaway this year. So if y'all have entered, I'm sorry to say your efforts were in vain. :teeth:

Oh darn, I was hoping no one else had entered.

I watch HGTV every morning while I'm getting ready. I really like the House Hunters where are they now and the House Hunters renovation ones. There's also this show called A Sale of Two Cities or something like that. I find that one pretty interesting.

I like House Hunters and anything with Drew & Jonathan Scott. I loved Trading Spaces and wish it was still on. Love It or List It is ok, too, but I know that most times, people are not going to move just because it is a pain in the *$$.

Trading Spaces was on TLC :)

I dont watch much HGTV anymore. I always liked the decorating shows like Design on a Dime. They all seam to be some kind of real estate ones now
You are right. It has been gone so long I had forgotten. I don't watch much TLC anymore. Do they have any type of home/decorating shows now?

I thought of two more. I liked Elen's Design Challenge and hope it comes back this year. I also really liked Bath Crashers and still hope to this day that every time I go to Home Depot that someone grabs me and offers to comeback remodel my bath.

I hope these are HGTV shows. I seem to think that all of the home improvement shows are on one channel.

I like House Hunters and Property Brothers. Yeah, I know it's all fake. But, I enjoy looking at the houses and seeing the different styles that are out there. DH and I don't own a home (hoping to someday) and seeing this helps us know what we might want to put in our own home. You know, kind of like taking a couple to see a house they can't afford, but getting an idea from them about the things they do like in it that can be incorporated into their new house at a a fraction of the cost.
