Heys Travelmate?

My daughter and I are joining my brother and his son in May. This will be my first trip without diapers, so I'm downgrading from my backpack to a cross body bag.

Does anyone own the Heys Travelmate? How do you like it? Was it comfortable for all day wear?

I didn't wear the Heys bag, but I did wear an across the body bag all day every day of our trip and I had absolutely no problem. I think tho that it depends upon what you put in the bag and how big it is. My bag was a vera bradley hipster for size comparison. I comfortably carried a camera, cell phone, small travel wallet w/tickets, ID and cash, plastic baggie (for those times we might get wet), pen, daily itinerary, travel pac of baby wipes and two extra AA batteries all day every day. In addition, I'd sometimes carry a variety of additional items including one or two small souvenirs, one or two or three bottles of soda, a sun hat or two, a snack or two, and DH's cell phone and again, never had any problems.

I was looking at the Hipster too (I like the Carnaby print). I didn't realize it was that big. What kind of camera did you carry in it?

Thanks for your help!

Just a Kodak point and shoot digital. It's a little bigger than a Gameboy Advance SP when folded. It's about the same size as my hand.

The thing I liked about the Hipster was that if I wanted to carry it as a regular bag when we went out to dinner all I had to do was shorten the strap and voila regular shoulder bag.

I do second that other thread tho. That's what helped me dump my backpack and finalize my decision on the Hipster.

ETA - this is the wallet I carried: http://www.verabradley.com/product/...ymphony in Hue/pc/640/p/154781/sc/683/c/0.uts I really liked it. I could put 4 room keys/tickets and my ID in the side with the viewer plus up to 10 fast passes and I'd carry about $50 in cash as well which I would fold to fit.

That's the wallet I bought for our last trip! We bought our tickets from UT, so I needed something small for the front pocket of my backpack.

Great minds...right?!
