Hey Yard Sale DIS'ers!! How'd ya do??

We did GREAT! I took 4 van loads of crap to my aunt's and came home with 1!! That even included a lawn mower my aunt gave me (we have a lawn service and want to can it). I made $220! I had several big bags of kids clothes and only had enough left over to fill a small rubbermaid tub. I'm just thrilled to be rid of the stuff!!!

How did you all do?

We made $135 and most of that was for items marked .50 to a dollar! Two big things sold for $20 each and the rest was little stuff.

I sold a bunch of VHS's and a couple of bags full of my old clothes and some toys the kids don't play with anymore and made 200.00!!!! YEAH!!!, more money for next month's trip!!!

hey everyone- i didn't have a yard sale, but i went to a bunch today and loved the stuff i got, so thanks for putting your stuuf out there for people like me!!!

Strange yard sale day. This morning it looked like it might rain and it was COLD. Good grief, it's June for crying out loud and it was only in the 50's. The crowds stayed away in droves.


But by 10:30 the sun had come out and people started showing up. Final tally for the day.... $470!!

My feet are killing me and I want to go to bed but it's too early. So I look at the money I made and that makes me feel better.

DH put me on yard sale probation.

Our last yard sale we made $322.00 - sounds good huh?
Problem is I went into a yard sale frenzy and started selling stuff we had not planned to sell. I'd go into the house for coffee or a potty break and come out with the clock off the wall. For about a year later I would be looking for something and DH would just shake his head and say "You sold it at the yard sale".

No one has trusted me to have another sale since.
