What dot? Where was there a dot?

It was a black dot, Snady, on the little envelope icons on the CB topic page. If you had posted on that thread, a black dot appeared on the envelope, letting you know you had posted on it.

The problem is that certain features cause a lot of database queries, that one is notorious for that. Let me see...we could give up all email notification of posts and PM's... that's pretty close...

I don't mind losing the email notifications since it's not a feature I've ever used either. The popup window notification of PMs is enough for me.

So, it's not the p/m's themselves, it's the email notifiation of them? I'd vote to eliminate that.

Serena, my understanding is that just the email notifications would be gone, not the PMs.
