That's what I asked my wife last night after she and I went out to dinner. Prior to Christmas, I asked Sue if it would be OK for me to order the deluxe edition of the Disney Scene-It game for myself as a Christmas present. She thought that would be a great idea, so I went ahead and placed an order. The box arrived ahead of Christmas and I asked Sue if I could open it. Absolutely not, she said to me in THAT tone of voice. So I handed her the UPS package and thought nothing more of it. Until last night when we were at Big Lots, walking off the effects of the Cuervo Gold Maragarita that I had with dinner. I saw one of the older versions of Scene-It on the shelf and remembered that I had NOT seen it on Christmas morning. Sue flat out denied that she had ever seen the UPS box with the game. I was certain that I had not dreamt this. When we got home, I looked around our living room and there, underneath the coffee table and beneath a pile of stuff from my most recent trip to WDW, was the nondescript cardboard box. Aha!!! So I was right (for a change). Since DD Sarah is visiting a friend in South Carolina and will not return until Monday evening, we decided to wait for her return before I open my final Christmas 2005 present.

Now if I could only find that Mickey Mouse nightlight that I am CERTAIN that Sue bought for me at Kohls......

Yikes!!!

Drinking and shopping is a DANGEROUS combination! Never, EVER go to Sam's Club or Costco when you're under the influence of tequila. Just trust me on this. :rotfl:

(Did you make any alcohol-influenced purchases before returning home to find the gift she hoped you'd forget?)

DH always looses at least one of my Christmas gifts in his "special" hiding place. Yesterday he said to me. Did you get the expansion set for your FP nativities? I said no, but I know we bought them, since I saw it on our CC bill. He said he knows they arrived. So into the basement to find it, a few hours later he emerged with a cardboard box and low and behold there they were. Last year he got me a Stitch blanket at the DS. He could not find it so bought me another one. About Easter he emerged from the basement and handed me another Stitch blanket. I call his basement the black hole. Anything that goes into it gets lost forever.

I got this game for Christmas and I love it. I dont know how you can wait until Monday to play.

That's what I was thinking, how could you wait until Monday! It might get "lost" again.

No way. Not going to get lost again. Besides my DW Sue already having egg on her face, the package is safely sitting on our dining room table. In less than 12 hours, it will be opened.

I saw a USB extension cable for $4 that was calling my name, and all of those artificial trees at 50% off looked mighty tempting, but we only spent $11 at Big Lots. I did get a bag of Key Lime Almond Joy candy bars. They are yummy.

I finally got to open my Disney Scene-It last night. We played two games and had a blast. It was worth the wait.
