....coming out for Feb 2005?? I called CRO the other day and was quoted $289/nite for std at WL or $269/nite w/AAA. Help!!!!! (I RE-E-E-E-E-ALLY wanna go back 'home' and pat the Bear's nose!! )

There aren't any discounts available yet for your dates...:worried:

The room only rates for AP, Florida Residents and "Available to anyone" room-only codes were released last year on 1/2/04. That will be Peak Season so with a good discount you should be able to get anywhere from $80.00-$85.00 off rack rate, when the discounts come out.

You'll need to call the morning they come out... Mousesavers is still the first to post the new codes, but others are great at sharing them here on the Resort Forum...I would go ahead and make your reservations then when the Room Only codes come out call and have the code applied to your reservation.

I was told by a CM to start looking the end of October for 2005 discount codes. I am waiting too for a March trip.

I'm waiting for codes as well --- we did have an early December trip planned but had to change our dates. We now are going for 10 days in Feb. The first few days at a horse show in Ocala, then Universal for three nights and Disney for five. Can't wait.

...I know how ya feel!! I just found out my DH has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which is a severe allergy to gluten (in wheat and other grain products). I feel like a HU-U-U-u-u-ge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and my DH REALLY NEEDS A VACA!!

"Com'n 'code fairies', pull thru fer us!!"

A gluten free diet is a tough one --- but I'm sure the Disney chefs will do wonderful things for you ::yes:: :p ::yes::

I just got off the phone with a very nice CM and she told me to check back the beginning of December for AP discounts for my trip. I went ahead and booked for the end of January with a AAA discount and I'm hoping that the AP will come through.

I've seen on other threads that CM's said end of October through December for discounts to be released so take what I heard with a grain of salt!

Come on discounts!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

....last week to book 2 rooms at WL. I got a price of $269 (W/AAA). Tuesday, I got a confirmation in the mail, and it said that I must send in five hundred something by Oct 14 for them to keep my ressies. Did I call Disney Travel by mistake???

Sounds as if you need to pay your one night per room deposit to hold your res, that's all. If it were DTC, you'd have paid $200 deposit with full payment due 45 days in advance of your vacation.

Last week to take advantage of discount codes for Walt Disney World resorts, valid for check-ins most dates through 12/25/04. Hurry, you must book these by 10/10/04!

THis was what mousesavers is saying, so I am hoping they will release something for 2005 after the 10th.

Historically, they had Jan - Feb first,

then did 1/2 of Feb - April
or May later (around January they realeased them in the past)
I sure hope they dont make us wait until January!!!

....I had wanted to book my ressies with a credit card to hold the 2 rooms, so that, in the event of codes coming out, I could just transfer my ressie and get the new $$. I have NEVER sent money for a deposit ahead of time!!!

We have been to disney 7 times since 1999 and everytime
they have made us pay one night's deposit almost immediatally
after making our reservations.

sorry i know that is alot of money, but it is how they do it.

On the plus side, Disney now takes credit cards. You used to have to send a check to hold that room. But, weirdly, they bill them right away. Not like other hotel chains.

I'm also looking for codes for late Jan/early Feb.

Come on codes!

Marie

I'm anxiously waiting for any possible codes for our Feb. 5-9 trip.

:wave2:

We're also waiting for late Jan AP codes. I had originally heard to watch in October sometime (this was a couple months ago.) It sure would be great if they release them after the 10th - that would be next week! :)

Uhh, we don't bill them right away?

We take an authorization for a certain amount and then bill them when you check out. There's a reason for that and I will be very honest with you. Because we don't trust anyone. Perhaps thats horrible but when you've been burned too many times, the hotel becomes the first priority and the guest the second.

This way you get charged everything you are going to get charged and everything shows on your bill. If you made long distance calls, charged food to your room, anything like that, you can't skip out on paying any of it because you have emptyed your credit card account.

Thats the same reason alot of hotels charge a deposit for the room.

We don't trust you.

The deposit means that if you try to skip out on your bill or you broke something, we can take it off your deposit immediately instead of attempting to bill you later and then wondering if your ever actually going to pay (you'd be amazed at the number of people who don't).

For a deposit, if you didn't damage your room, cause disturbances make long distance phone calls that weren't supposed to be allowed, or the like, then you have nothing to worry about and you will receive the whole thing back.

Frankly, there are far too many slimy people out there that just aren't trustworthy (and for some reason, it seems like they all stay in hotels).

If Disney does that differently, that's very odd.

i would love to know what hotel or chain this is from it would be one I didnt stay at. I realize thre are dishonest people in this world but there are also good people who wouldnt do this. I dont use credit cards. and if a hotel wont take a check or a money order I would book with someone else. to assume everyone out here is "slimy" is disturbing to admit and say the guest comes in second is enough to make me stay somewhere else.

...left my credit card # and exp date to "hold" a room; I was never, ever, ever actually charged until the day I arrived. How do I know? Because I always make ressies at least 6 months ahead and the charge has never appeared on my statement! I have stayed at CBR, CSR, S/D, and WL since 1999, and this policy has always been the case for me.....
