Hi! I'm ohiominnie. I'm new to the DL board, but not to the DIS (as my post count will attest to!)

We've never been to DL. Been to WDW way too many times to count and LOVE it. But we are planning an early October trip to DL and to San Diego.

I know I'll learn a lot here reading threads. I'm sure I'll ask a few dumb questions! I really feel like we're going to a whole different place that we know nothing about. We know WDW like the back of our hand and planning it is simple! :) This is a whole 'nuter ball of wax! :)

So you'll see me around. Hope I don't get on your nerves!

Hi Ohio Minnie and welcome to the Disneyland Boards! I can totally relate with your post b/c I feel the exact same way about WDW. I have DLR down to a science and vacationing there is soooo easy for us. I'm completely petrified of trying to figure out WDW! It's overwhelming to me and I still haven't even attempted to commit to a trip there. I like the safety and simplicity of my little DLR bubble. ;)

Anyway, a great place to start here is with Hydroguy's gude to DLR for WDW Vets:

Have a great time planning! It's half the fun (or so I hear) :lmao:

We just bot back from our first WDW trip and it wasn't too hard to figure out. The layout is basically the same. I prefer it here though as DTD and CA are just a short walk away, not 25 minutes away!

I am also planning my first trip (technically 2nd but I was 3 and don't remember much) and am very excited about some of the rides that aren't at WDW.

Welcome, you will get lots of help here. When are you going and where are you staying?

I was just going to say..I went to WDW one time last year..and wouldn't have a problem at all figuring out another trip..or..my way around...
