I want to add some sparkle to some pages. For example.....Sorceror Mickeys wand.....

any ideas???? I havent done this before and dont want to use just glitter as we all know what a mess that is.

Is there a paint or something less messy thats safe?

Hhhmmm -

Since glitter is messy - you could use a glitter gel pen. The Ultimate Glitter Gel Pens by American Crafts work well and come in all kinds of colors.

Or you could use diamond dust paper.

Or you could emboss it with glittery embossing powder. :)

Or how about adhering beads? :)

Hope that helps.

There a couple different papers that are glittery/shiney, I would give them a try.

Magic Scraps makes lots of little sparkly (?) things. I haven't used any of it but somebody else here will know the correct way to adhere it.

I love using microbeads. They add glittery effect and are a little 3-D without being too bulky.:p

I am going to have to really look into this one a bit. I want something that looks like its shooting out from his wand. Maybe the micro beads will work. Off to the LSS to see what they recommend

I don't know if this would work..but it's worth looking into.

At WalMart today near the checkout registers, I spotted something called Glitter Glue. It was about 5 small tubes in a pkg-- different colors. The packaging looked liked it was aimed towards young teen girls -- so I don't know if it's also in the craft aisle OR maybe near the crayons (in the toy or office supply depts) in the rest of the store.

From the packaging, I gathered it wasn't really meant to be used as glue to stick 2 things together. But rather to DECORATE /draw on paper..... like a marker would. But I would think it would be a bit dimensional.

Sorry so long. (All my posts are. LOL)

I have bought something very similar to the glitter glue, it was made by Crayola. It was shaped like a pen and squeezed out the glitter onto my scrapbook page. I was able to draw a wreath on it for a Christmas page, and when it dries, it stays put. It wasn't messy to use at all and came in 4 colors: red, green, blue, and gold. You could probably find something like it in silver and draw curls from Mickey's wand. Good luck!
