Heading into the city in about an hour and a half and can't decide where we should eat. We'll be in Times Sqaure then heading over to the Garden. Any suggestions?

Found it:

Virgil's Real Barbecue
152 W. 44th St., New York, NY 10036
between Sixth Ave. and Broadway
212-921-9494

Tony DaNapolis around the corner from the toys rus in times square it is YUUUUUUUMMMMYYYY!!! family style servings delicious!!

We will see you there for Mr Clapton :cheer2: :dancer: <-----look for my DH

Thanks all! I'm not used to going to places in the Times Square area except when I'm with tourists or my kids, Then it's the usual type of Hard Rock etc... stuff. We usually go around the West 57th St. area or head to the village area to eat.

momtomootoo as long as he dances like that I'll find him lol!

I second Virgil's. Best BBQ I've ever had. The pulled pork sandwich is AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2

Or if you want a show with your dinner, you could do Ellen's Stardust Dinner. Good food and all of wait staff are aspiring Broadway singers. So, they all sing. It is a fun atmosphere.

Corner of Broadway and 51st.

I'm sure I'm too late :) but we love Pigalle @ 49th and 8th. French, reasonable prices, gorgeous food, tremendous ambiance.

I love that place! The atmosphere is so fun! I don't think the food is that great though and they sure do pack you in! I was practically touching elbows with the person next to us. It also didn't help that DS spilled his chocolate milk and it landed on their shoes. Oops

We just ate at Tonys today at 3pm!

Good morning all! Just a brief update on last nights dining experience. We ate at a place called Jack's on 40th between 7th and Broadway (I think). Very, very good. My husband took me to see his office at his some what new job which is right on 42nd St., much to his dismay.

Anyway, based on my first dining expeirence at Jack's, I will recommend it to others, it was casual, very nicely laid out, not a jam pack em in type of place. The menu had a good variety of offerings, plus they also offered a price fix dinner that I think cost $30.00.

That website would have come in handy this week. DH was in the Lower East Side on business alone all week. Sure would have helped him. I'm adding it to my favorites in case he needs to go back.

Cool site.
Wonder if anything like that for other cities. We are heading to Philly in 2 wks.

ETA: THEY DO HAVE OTHER CITIES!!!!! Just found change city at top...and they have Philly!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2
