It's been years since we've been at this hidden bar in downtown Milwaukee. Does anyone know if it's still there? Has much changed over the years? We started going there back in the 80's and last time we went there it was in the 90's. Not sure if it's there anymore. I would love to hear from anyone that has been there. We love that place - phone booth, Burt Reynold's picture, puzzle picture, etc.

It is definitely still there.

I live an hour away, and I have never been there. It sounds fun, and I'd love to go there, but the whole "trying to get in while everyone watches you on a big TV in the bar" kind of scares me. I'd want to go with a big group of friends so I could kind of fade into the background...not just DH and I alone or anythig like that!

Bumping this thread for you though, hoping someone who has been there recently can contribute!

went there everyonce in a while in mid 80's when i went to marquette. was there within the past year also. nothing has changed. stairs to nowhere, looking at your own butt, burt, etc. the password is still the same. always a good time. got a couple of spys demise glasses that look exactly the same as they did 25 years ago.

Okay, not to hijack the thread (I'm not sure this is worth starting a second safe house thread!)...but what are some things that first timers should know when going there. Like the password, some cool things to look for, any good drinks...etc.

In your signature pic, that hug looks very enthusiastic, Donnie is having to prop himself up! Heeheeheehee. You have good taste ::yes::.

agnes!

LOL...to be honest, I am more of a Joey girl, but Donnie was the only one offering hugs the day we met them. Not like I was going to say no! :)

sorry, cant tell you the password. i mean, i could tell you, but then i would have to kill you, know what i mean.

Maybe it's the password I refer to in my avitar. ;)

It's been a lot of years since I've been there, but I believe that I've already mentioned the password. ;) :3dglasses

I remember the Burt Reynolds picture, the phone booth, the wall puzzle, the food delivery system, the foyer/entryway, the bookcase entrance.

Wish I could remember more of the features.

You may have an easier time of it if you go for lunch when it's not too crowded vs a Friday or Sat. night.

Go on your birthday. I hear they have a special treat for those celebrating their birthday. :thumbsup2 If I remember correctly, you sit on a throne and they raise you up from under the floor to the main floor bar area.

I really miss that place. Lots of fun times there. Half the battle for us was simply finding the place.
