Just wanted you to know as I checked out the photos of your Yellowstone trip I kept seeing advertisements for the Vortex hand crank blender! With all the money I can save on non-electric sites, I should have that blender paid for in one camping trip! Kungaloosh I say!

Man I love the internet! Talk about focused advertising. Between that and all the good lookin women who supposedly are searching for me on FB, I think they nailed the demographic pretty good!

But on a serious note (no, really!) looks like your trip to Yellowstone was fun.

are you guys heading to ole yeller? i love yellowstone. jackson hole is a little more peaceful. but, the flaming gorge in utah is so awesome. i want to go back there again.

Hurry up and get to Yellowstone before it blows. I have read that it the ground has raised over 12 inches in elevation over recent years, indicating the volcano that is yellowstone is building up pressure. If it goes, it's gonna do some serious damage to the US.

This may come off as sounding incredibly crazy, but... are you talking to me? :confused3 My husband's name is Bruce and we do have pictures of a trip that includes yellowstone on our website, but we don't have any advertising on the site, so that piece didn't fit. I'm thinking that you meant someone else, but if not, I didn't want to appear rude by not answering so I figured I should ask.
:rolleyes1

I think so, I caught the link on FB when I saw your post, and when I went to your page I saw some banners to the right. I really enjoyed our Yellowstone trip a few years ago and went to see the photos. Maybe as the author you don't see the ads? Not sure. Anyhow, I hope I did not come across as rude. Maybe it's the whole facebook thing - I seem to get camping ad links all the time so it is probably the cookies on my computer.

Funny thing is, I go to a discussion board once in a great while for Tundra pickup owners and I see advertisements for Ford pickups on a Toyota discussion board!

Also, assuming it was your trip, looks like it was a fun time and some nice campgrounds out there.

I was amazed at how cold Lake Yellowstone is despite the fact that there are bunch of thermal features on the bottom. They say it seldom gets warmer than 45 in the lake by the end of August. I wonder what would happen if something suddenly drained that lake toward Jackson Hole direction if there was a major uplift from the Volcanic stuff below? Or maybe it would drain to the north?

Has to be something with the PC, sitting here on the couch with the laptop and none of that shows up any more. There were no ads on the link this time.

The kids commented that they have had issues with the desktop also - so I'm figuring I must have landed some sort of spyware that loads adds along the side just like you seen in FB.

Or maybe it was something from FB? I've heard that some of the FB applications will do that.

Our trip out west was by far my family's most favorite. For me, I LOVED the Tetons, but I think the rest of the clan loved Yellowstone. We occasionally take out the album, and even the pictures don't do it justice. That part of the country is just awe-inspiring. :thumbsup2

That's it! (tried finding the Charlie Brown comic strip for that reply, but no luck).

I think I like the way the dog is just ignoring all the antics in the background and doing it's own thing - kind of like a teenager ignoring their parent. Especially reminds me of the Griswolds searching for all the roadside attractions. I love to travel that way too, get off the 8 lane highways and see what you find. Sometimes good, sometimes a bust. Always worth it. You don't get that by cramming into an airline seat for a few hours.

Seems like a topic for a new thread now doesn't it? Favorite discovery on a road trip!
