What lipstick do you wear? I need a good lipstick. I normally wear a cheaper brand like Cover Girl but I think I need a higher end Lipstick. What do you suggest? I've been looking on ebay but I'm just really clueless.

What about eyeshadow??

I'm happy with my blush, foundation and powder.

I like those "everlast" lip colors - they don't budge, I can't even get the junk off in the shower most times. :flower:

I don't wear lipstick. My husband hates it. I sometimes wear a clear lip gloss. I wear eyeshadow so rarely that I don't even remember what brand it is.

MAC has a great one...goes to look...Viva Glam V (5). It is very neutral. I love their shadows as well.

I love love love Chanels lipglosses. I have several. I usually am wearing one of those if I am wearing any makeup.

I use Clinique Glow Bronze lipstick and Perfect Couple eyeshadow. I use all Clinique except mascara. :)

Can I ask why? I mean why a higher end? I'm not much of a makeup wearer but I'm confused as to what a more expensive lipstick would do that CG doesn't. Lipsticks are sold on ebay? Yikes - hopefully not used. I actually like the CG hint of colors but then I don't wear much.

I looked at Clinique on ebay. I've never used any of their products.

I would love to try MAC if I can find some at a good price. In every Cosmo I read everyone loves MAC!

Love Clinique lipstick. Not an expert on the other stuff.

Sure! I can remember the only Lipstick I ever loved being Mary Kay (which is more expensive).

The Cover Girl, Mabeline etc. just wears off so easily on me. I tried the kind you put on that dries and then you put a gloss over it but it wore off too.

I need something creamier I guess.

Yep Ebay sells New in Package Makeup....any kind you want. They actually DO sell used not that I would ever buy it but they do sell it. Gross, I know!

I love and use Mac for their lipsticks, eye shadows, foundations/powders. They are really great!
I use Este Lauder for facial cleanse. My partner uses Este Lauder EVERYTHING and loves their lipstick.

Both brands stay on great and they have a wonderful variety of different colors and different styles of lipstick such as matte, sleek, frost...

Nordstroms carries both of these brands.

MAC is really not that bad. Maybe $13 for a lipstick. I would be so worried to buy off ebay. Not judging you at ALL, just don't want you to get the herpes virus that causes cold sores...all of that would scare me.

Believe me I look at feedback closely! You can see if its been used or not. When I get it I would throw it away if it was used. There are tons of people who sell makeup on ebay though.

I may invest in MAC and also buy a Clinique (they are only about $3) and just see.

I wear Clinique and I love it. Why not just go to a make-up counter at a better department store and have them show you some things that would nice on you?

As far as lipsticks go, I REALLY like the Revlon Colorstay line. Not expensive, either. Like the Everlites, it stays on until you remove it. I generally wear a sheer shell pink color and it's wonderful not having to reapply it every couple of hours! Hint: Make sure you buy the remover, as well!

Good luck!

I love Lancome lipsticks and Estee Lauder Pure Color. They last long and the color stays on well. Also, they make my lips very soft. I only use two colors, but to add "pizzaz" to my lips, I add Mac Lip glosses to them. Watermelon, Berry and clear are excellent to add on top of your lipsticks.

I love Chanel and Dior Mascaras.

I don't wear foundation, but rather a SHeer Pressed Powder by Mac. It's made with silica and glides on very soft, smooth and sheer.

Eyeshadow - I've never worn eyeshawdow (I think it makes people look older and tired). However, I use "beauty marked" by Mac. It's a dark eyeshadow that I apply with a very thin brush on my upper lash line to make a natural eye liner.

It has great results.

I buy my lipstick off of the same person on eBay. It's a discontinued color and I cannot buy it in the outlets by me. I've bought 7 lipsticks and they are in excellent condition (new, never used or tested).

It's the same thing with the stores......

If you want to be able to return something, can the item mistakenly get placed back on the selling floor and be sold????

I use the covergirl all day one whatever it's called. I love it and use it everyday. I usually don't have to put more on until after I've eaten lunch and that;s only if I eat something greasy.

I used to use Clinique but it wears off within an hour.

I wear mostly lip gloss, and I love Lorac and Smashbox. For eyeshadows I love Nars- they also make great palettes with eyeshadows, lip colors and cheek colors :)

Beth, what are you looking for? What do you want your lipstick to do?

Normally, gloss will make any lipstick disappear pretty fast. Like someone else said, one of the colorlast, or such would be your best bet for longivity.
I haven't tried the newer one.

But what I do when I need it to stay longer than normal and I don't like the dry looks. I use a pencil and line and fill in with it. Then lipstick, blot and cover again. I don't know why that works, but it does. Then the gloss.

But I haven't found a pencil other than a reddish color that I like much. So, I just reapply the lipstick.

Lancome owns L'Oreal and Maybelline too now, so the formulas aren't that much different.
I'm always looking for the right texture, color and such, so I tend not to spend a lot of money on lipstick. Jane and Wet and Wild are cheap and good.
