Welcome back everyone!! Jenny, I kinda wish I was working with you...........halfway done already!! What a great deal!!! The DDs and I are going to our "annual" tomorrow, so I'm off and then back for one more day of holiday cheer with the students!

Hang in there, llluuuucccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, give Mom a hug from us! :grouphug:

How funny with me and "the card!" No newsletter here, I was going to send one but then I didn't! I afraid to jinx the girls if I brag too much! It's hard to believe it's so close..................

Hey, luceeeeeeee, how's the training going?? :cool1:

Taking a little longer than I hoped :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: - i am now taking pills for the painful knees, if my knees don't get any better, I MAY need to skip this year's marathon :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Also VERY jealous of Jenny  :cheer2: :cool1: :yay: ....half way through, we aren't half-way through until January17!

Good one Ms. Jenny - couldn't Allie have been working? please don't EVER spoil the 'dream' and hang on to it as long as possible. I truly miss the Santa thing...and the Disney thing? I STILL believe and since this past summer, I believe even more.

What, no comment about my "annual"?? :guilty:

Boy, when you tripped in NYC and ripped your pants, you really hurt yourself, Loosey!! YOU'RE STILL HAVING KNEE PROBLEMS???
:lmao: :rotfl2: :happytv: :rotfl: :surfweb: :dance3: :yay:

you don't mean the same annual i had this week? The one where i refused the scale and the doctor talked about 'my age', all all those 'other' tests i must now have!

i assumed you meant your annual shopping trip.....hold on to that wallet, if that is so - i've been around your girls, they shop well! in fact, bring that wallet in January too... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

well, just baked a batch of choc. chip cookies, cut-out sandtart cookies, i will frost them this afternoon.

this will make 'ya laugh - well, maybe not - the ONE difference between having girls and boys - is the 'smelling' of the laundry that is lying on the floor next to the washing machine, and you don't know whether it is clean or dirty until you sniff! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Happened to me this morning - I don't blame the kids right now - i just don't have time to fold the wash, actually throw Bryan's clothing into his room - he couldn't tell the difference anyway! :scared1: :laundy:

YES, THAT ANNUAL...................Guess what!!! THEY FORGOT TO WEIGH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :cool1: :teeth: :cheer2:  :cloud9: :woohoo: :dance3: :rolleyes1

Well, not officially, but when the bell rings in the morning and no little bodies come running down the hall............it's a sweet sight and sound! :thumbsup2

I have to share with you our trip to see Santa this evening. YOu see, I have this thing with the kids having a picture with Santa EVERY YEAR. So, I say to John this morning, "Will you humor me son and pose for a picture with your sibblings & Santa?" Knowing my sentimental feelings he was like, "Sure Mom". So, off we go to the mall tonight. After waiting 20 minutes for Santa to finish "feeding the reindeer" , he shows up. M&M jump in his lap and John sits right down next to him in the chair. As they wait for the elves to take the picture Santa starts chatting with them. Well, the computer/printer goes down. M&M had already rattled off their wishes (few of which they are getting~it always changes at the last minute!), Santa turns to John, winks and says, "So, John, what would you like for Christmas?" Without missing a beat, JOhn grins and says, "I would like for the Bengals to make the playoffs"!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Santa and John then start breaking down the Colts/Bengals from last Monday Night. :rotfl2: I was cracking up!!!

Cookies shmookies................who bakes those things? What the heck do you think the bakery is for?? :rolleyes1

Oh, the "annual"............I'm due too.....hate the lecture and scales too!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

:grouphug: Thx for the Santa story...........loved it, Jenster!!

Where is Debster????????????????????

The rents are swinging in to town tomorrow night, unfortunately, my SIL's dad died yesterday...........would you believe that NONE of my SIL's "rents" are now alive??? Mom & Dad are their only parents!! How nuts is that?? So in addition to being all of your honorary parents...............they are carrying my clan as well!!! :grouphug: :smooth:

Hey, Lucster,................love that sense of humor, baby!!! popcorn:: See you in WDW in just 2 weeks! :cool1: :thumbsup2

I'm FINALLY in a panic mode :scared1:  :sad1: :scared:  :hyper: :santa:

I want to run away from home - does ANYONE have room for me? and just me ALONE :rolleyes1 :confused3

My girlfriend across the hall just came over to tell me that her niece has been selected to enter the Disney College Program in January. She will be POOH!! pooh: Now I know TWO characters (that is excluding Lucy, of course!!!) :rotfl2: :lmao:

Got to get back t work!

Jenster! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Today, I admitted my mom to the nursing home here in my town, she will arrive around 4:00 PM, we hope it is not permanent, but you never know.
Bryan/Tyler and I must move a TV, chair, and telephone over to her (and it is pouring rain here!). When I was given a tour, I asked the admission director if they had an extra bed, ANYWHERE, so I could move in for a few days and avoid all this holiday stress :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
but, it looks like there is no room at the inn, for Lucy :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Today, the 21st, Tyler says to me, on the way to school, and he said other things that i will not mention, "when are 'we' going shopping for dad"! TODAY :furious: :furious: , Tyler, I told him, I've asked you for weeks.....! :furious: :furious: :furious:

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!:santa:

The cookies and milk are on the table, we have read "Twas the Night Before Christmas", and I await them to go to sleep. I still love this part.....

have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS:santa: :santa:

For the FIRST time we brought down the presents and put them under the tree during the afternoon - guess who had a 'problem' with it - the OLDER one...we've never done that before.
Tyler has been sick all last night, and he is sick again this evening...I'm sure by Christmas morning, he'll be the second one out of bed (me being the first).

Wish we could be with all of you this season, but you are ALL in our hearts. :grouphug:  :santa:

Hey, my favorite DIS friends............WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! We are ready for tomorrow...........................have a wonderful holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! I just got an e-mail from my friend who is at WDW. She said that it poured and they had cancelled the Osborn lights yesterday. She was disappointed, but would just go back another day.... As she said, she'll take 80 degrees and raining in Floriday over Indiana ANYDAY!! I'm with her. Her "rents" (as JoAnn would say) just moved down there from NJ and are as happy as can be (I would be too!).

Lazy day here. Raining, yucky, etc. Kids are happy with all their new "stuff". Mark is sacked out on the couch and I am in "my room" with the laptop and watching TV. I am starting to feel guilty since I don't sit too long normally!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

May I say, we are VERY happy when it is the day after.......
Yesterday was SO tiring - I am happy that the children ARE grown and we do not need to get up at the crack of dawn anymore! But, in the evening, Bob's family comes over, and all we want to do is chill....oh, well, it is family, we are glad to do it (???#####@@%#%#%$^$$^)
It was a different kind of Christmas, visiting my mom in the nursing home. We had no Christmas luncheon, that part was ok for me, but it was the first time we didn't have one, in my lifetime.

WHY CAN'T I USE ANY OF THE SMILIES ANYMORE, i am sad.
Nor can I use any font changes, or colors?!

NOW the REAL preparations begin. We have invited friends to our house on Thursday evening for a FUN TIME! that means, cleaning, cooking, drinking, etc. etc. etc.

I LOVE when it is this time of year, ONLY because Bob starts talking Disneyworld for the summer and our dates - we are 'stuck' on the BWV now, and the 10 days last year was so nice, so I told him I MUST go during the time you guys are in Europe.....we need to call during the 7-month window and hope we can get a studio again. Anyone who won't be on the Med? = please come down during that time - I'm going to be a little depressed and need some cheering.

This thread is totally boring!

Alright Lucy....I am so sorry to be boring!! JoAnn is in Florida isn't she?? I don't know where Debi is (probably working). That leaves me at least for another day.

Tomorrow we head out at 7 a.m. as my car has to go in the shop in Cincy at 10. From there we drive to Mark's parents which is another 3 1/2 hours from Cincinnati. We will be there Wed & Thurs nights, then back to Cincinnati for Fri, Sat, and Sun nights. The Bengals play Sunday at 1, but since Debi's Jets won yesterday, it appears they will make the playoffs and we won't. Basically a meaningless game. Truthfully, we don't deserve to go to the playoffs anyway.....

Got to get back to work cleaning up this place. I did get up and walk on the treadmill this morning, so it isnt a totally WORTHLESS day.

I can't use smilies either..... :(

Hey guys....you can use the smilies, click on the smiley face in the toolbar and they will work!!:goodvibes

a)Lucy, you can still go in July, then you won't have to be depressed....:thumbsup2
b)Enjoy the rest Jenny, you work too hard as it is! Have fun visiting the RIL:happytv:
c)YES, we are in FL, DD22 had a VERY BAD experience with her last roommate, so we are doing damage control before her next "roommate" moves in........;)

DD16 will begin playing in the "Orange Classic" tomorrow.....wish her luck, this is a HUGE college showcase.....guess who is the new manager for her new team during her senior year???:confused3 Of course, I couldn't resist, so today, I had to register the team (a half hour away) and tomorrow we will play!

Hey Lucy, only a few days until the BIG RACE!!!

THE RENTS ARE FINE AND visiting all my DBs!!!:)

DEB, LYNN & KATHY(WHERE ARE U??), HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND STOP IN SOON!!!!!!!!!!

I have not been on the board in awhile, haven't even had a chance to read. Anyway, Christmas eve was hectic, we had 12 for dinner and then cousins came over after that, a very fun and crazy night in our house. Christmas day was a quiet day spent at home, yesterday I took the day off, and we moved all of Alex's stuff into the basement. Now today, Micco and I have to head upstate for a wake, our very good friend from college's father passed away on Friday, so we are heading up this afternoon and staying for the funeral tomorrow.

A bunch of Alex's friends from Disney are coming in tomorrow and staying for almost a week, and we are doing New Year's Eve at our house. And get this, we are going to the Jets game on Sunday at 1:00 (not sure how I am pulling off the party yet, but...), yes I am not going to miss that one, it will be like a playoof game for us, if they win, they're in. Jenny, sorry about the lump of coal we handed the Bengals for Christmas, but that was probably the best present Micco and I got that night (we actually stayed up and watched the whole game)! Now all we have to do is beat the lowly Raiders.

And Congrats to John for winning FF, although he only beat Alex by a few points, he must have been sweating. Hey, what do you guys think, no one under 18 in the league next year.....:rotfl2:

I will try to get a chance to read what I've missed in the last 2 weeks when I get back from upstate.

Miss you all!

Debi

another FF NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!
under 18? leaves me OUT

HEY, Joannsie - tried the smilies and STILL can't get them!
this isn't any fun anymore.

Hi Guys! Got here about five last night, opened gifts, ate, and put the kids to bed. Went uptown to "the grill" to meet BIL/SIL. She cannot come down to the house because she has severe asthma/allergies and this house is not the place to be..... Christmas eve she came down and was in bed the next two days and on prednisone. No details needed....I am filled up myself. Mark and I rolled in about 2:30 a.m. You were about to get up, right Lucy??:lmao: We had a great time. Usually some of Mark and Mike's old buddies show up (it's a small town) and it gets quite comical. Brooke (SIL) and I just sit and talk. Usually by the time her second drink hits, I get all the family secrets!!!:lmao: Being 350 miles away, everyone tries to give us the "rosey picture" all the time. She basically devulges everything in a couple of drinks and doesn't remember it the next day. (weekling!!!). Then I relay them to Mark. It's fun because we get a kick out of the way they keep stuff "hidden"!!:rotfl2: This night was a JUICY one!!!!!:lmao: ;)

We are going to go back to Cincy tomorrow. THe car dealership had to order parts, so I have to have the car back. THank goodness.....they gave us an excuse to get out of here without hurting feelings.

Good luck to Jessica. :cheer2: Maybe she'll end up at Indiana!!!!!

I hope the "roommate" works out for Tara!!:rolleyes1

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you NYE Debi, but enjoy the playoffs. You guys deserve it!
I'll check back in later............:dance3:
