Hey all.......Just finished 21 parent teacher conferences! I work until 11:30 tomorrow then I have Fall Break until Tuesday!!!

I hope all of you received the information on Mark's "shower" of wishes! If not, let me know.

The hotel we stay at EVERY TIME we visit Cincy called me today. They have the Presidential Suite set aside for Mark and have planned to decorate it in 40th birthday stuff!! They also have a spot reserved in the sports bar with all the wings he can eat!!! I think he will really love the attention!

It's suppose to be nice this weekend here! I will like no rain poncho or coat for the game!!!

Bill & I graduated from the same High School in Jan. 1955 and we are going to our reunion this coming Friday with many old friends--two of which I have known for 62 years. Last night, we went to Showboat Casino in Atlantic City and one friend got picked to be in the show. Tons of fun and so exhausting from talking and laughing.

May I tell you how busy it is in our house - Bob just called me from work, that is the only way we are communicating lately.......oh, well, like Bob said last week, when Tyler is finished with school, in 4 years, then we will rest.

Another busy weekend - Halloween is a BIG time around here, Friday night Tyler and I are going to a Halloween parade (Bob works) and Saturday night we are chaperoning our music group from High School in a parade - oh, wow, I may run into Bob on Saturday nite

Gotta remember Mark tomorrow...the YOUNG geezer

All He talked about receiving e-mails from you guys and it just tickled him to death! Thanks for all the support guys!!!

I think the funniest part was when a couple of his fraternity brothers from college e-mailed/called and he was amazed that they "remembered his birthday"!!! I finally had to confess because it was getting so funny how he went on and on about it! The party was spectacular! They hotel really spoiled him. We had the Presidential Suite Friday night through this morning. We had a king with sauna, hot tub, 2nd bath. There was also a full living room, kitchenette, and a second bedroom (plus another 1 1/2 bathrooms)!!! My mom went, so she and the kids stayed in the adjoining bedroom. The living room was all decorated with 40 black balloons and 40 suckers that said "forty sucks"!! There was a 40th photo album, 40th shot glass and a 40th coffee mug. The employees had passed around and and signed a card. They brought appetizers for our friends who came as well!!! I have to admit though, this weekend was a first for me.......... I acutally woke up still drunk!!! Mark confessed this morning that it's a good thing he only turns 40 once!!! All and all I think the guy was pretty surprised and excited!

To top it off the Bengals actually won too!! I suppose you saw the "stupid guy" on the highlights who ran on the field and stole the ball right out of Brett Farve's arms and ran down the field (right toward us)! I hate when people do that stuff.......... It was kind of embarrassing.

Hope you all have a "ghoul" Halloween. I need to get M&M ready for T or T. I didn't even buy a costume for them. We have so much "junk" downstairs, I think we have enough to get creative before the next hour is up!!!!
Back to work tomorrow!

No, I havent disappeared, we are getting closer to our Dec weekend, and I can't wait!!! Kathy - Where are you???? Now there's a girl who's disappeared....I hope you can come!!!

Jenny - Glad Mark's birthday was a success, sounds like you had a great time. Watching that guy take the ball out of BF's hand was actually one of the funniest highlights I have ever seen. I mean, how drunk was that guy? Anyway, he got his 15 minutes of fame, I guess. Oh, and I won another week at FF, I am 4-4, better than the Jets, at least. LOL. Not too bad for a woman!

I am going to make the ressies for dinner today, so i will keep you posted on the info. Also, just found out the tree will be lit yet in Rockefeller Ctr on 11/29 (right before you guys come), so I think we should go see that too! I think it would be a real treat for all, especially Jenny. The city is so beautiful when it's decorated for Christmas, and they decorate right after Thanksgiving because that's when Santa arrives at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (which we have never been to).

Hi Lucy!

I'm here and I've been lurking but I haven't had time to post. You know I'm usually long winded, but I should have at least dropped you all a line or two. I wish I had better news but December is not looking good for me. Please know that I am doing everything I can to try to join you all. I really want to be there but it quite possibly won't work out this time. I think that's why I haven't been posting; I keep hoping that I'll eventually have good news to report.

As you know, Ted is on call that weekend. The children also have several activities scheduled. Owen will be attending a holiday camp at the Virginia Air and Space Center on Saturday and Amy's dance class will be riding on a float in the Christmas Parade that evening. Both children have Sunday School. We have no family in our vacinity. We have several wonderful friends and neighbors but they all have their own kids so I hate to impose on them. I can't find a sitter who is able to work the whole weekend. I think it would be too difficult to be switching back and forth between 2 or possibly 3 sitters over the course of weekend.

Halloween was a lot of fun. We all once again wore our Incredibles costumes. It was much easier to put that suit on at Walt Disney World where no one knows you. It took much more effort to get me into the costume knowing that I would run into many of our neighbors while at the club and during trick or treating with the kids. I consumed a bit of liquid courage and carried on.

Dinner is ready to come out of the oven...gotta run.
