Just returned from the dreaded Doctor, and.......................


First words out of his mouth when he walked into the exam room were...............

"What the HE** happened to you"?

LOL

He was astonished!!

After talking about what I have done, he said that it goes against a lot of what he has been trained to believe, but why listen to conventional wisdom when REALITY proves it wrong!!

He has scheduled me to have the follow-up blood work for my cholesterol, but he said that he is positive that it will confirm the good things he saw today!

He made a joke about the "new path you have chosen" adding YEARS to my life!

Thanks for the update, John! You are such a great inspiration!!! And the results you have are just living proof that Atkins works and that you can get healthy as well as lose weight.

I was in a frou-frou store yesterday at the Mall of Millenia (near Orlando) Ok, the store was Tommy Bahama. I caught a bit of a conversation these snotty salespeople were having about Dr. Atkins. One fellow said something about Dr. Atkins death and this lady salesperson said something about him dying becuase he should have eaten carbs. She was making a joke and they both started laughing. I just wanted to turn around and tell them to shut up (but not that nicely). It really burned me up. After reading all these great Atkins posts here and seeing for myself what a difference this wonderful man has made in so many lives, it made me feel sick to listen to these ignorant comments, especially coming from people who are supposed to be helping the public. Although everything was priced too high for me anyway, I grabbed my mother and told her we were leaving. I might buy Tommy Bahama clothes from another store, but that place has lost my business. Sheesh!

Tigh...good for you about walking out of that store...I like Tommy Bahama too...but I love my Atkins way of life more!!! I would Have said something...my Italian temper would have never allowed me to shut my mouth!!LOL

You know I would love to take a shot at John for that but I just can't!!!!! I have to give him a bunch of credit!!!! He actually had the nerve to say such a thin .........in print no less...........when he is way outnumberd!!!!! THis is one gutsy guy!!!!
