My good friend and I have a tradition of baking on Good Friday. I used to make ricotta pies, cookies, etc. in addition to the traditional meat pies. Since we've been going out for brunch with my brother and his family for the last 5 years, I know longer make all the desserts, but I do still make the meat pie and what I call macaroni pie. It's a lot of work, but I really enjoy it. I have my mom's old recipe that we used to make together
I really miss her at this time of year.
We can never taste it until today as we don't eat meat on Good Friday, so I just had some. Yum! Anybody else make these?
