Hi everyone,

Thought I would give you all a heads up about the DIS Unplugged Podcast.

For those of you who haven't visited the podcast discussion board, or listened to a DIS Podcast yet, here's some news. Three fellow West Coast DISers were recently added to the Podcast team, and will be podcasting segments about the DISneyland Resort!

The new team members are:

YellowMickeyPonchos (Nancy) - Many of you know Nancy, as she regularly posts here. Nancy will be able to give great perspective on families with children, especially girls.

wendyinoc - Wendy is another local who visits the Disneyland Resort regularly, and posts occasionally. You'll see here here and there on the boards. Wendy's perspective will be including insights on Disney for adults.

oc_tony - Tony is another local who teaches in the area and also visits DLR on a regular basis. Now, until recently, he never posted on the boards, so he will offer a fresh point of view. Also, Tony has a young son, so can give us his perspective on visiting Disneyland with things to do for boys.

All three will offer their expertise in different areas having to do with Disney and Southern California.

A few weeks ago, Pete was out here to meet the new team members. Last week, he published a whole podcast about the Disneyland Resort, and I believe will have Part II up this week or next week.

In the near future, the three West Coast correspondents will be contributing with their own segments, and we'll be able to listen to them.

I understand that listeners can ask questions either via email: podcast@wdwinfo.com, or via voicemail by calling: 1-877-310-9662 (outside US at 407-574-5093). So, if you have questions or ideas for segments, you can submit them either by email or voicemail, and one of the new correspondents will address them.

I'm really looking forward to hearing some DIS perspective on the DISneyland Resort from our very own fellow DISers. :woohoo:

How exciting!! I didn't know the new DLR podcast was up already. I'm going to download it when I get home.

Thanks, Mary Jo!!

Hey Guys - we're very excited to be doing the show. If this thread drops down too far, we'll bump it periodically to get some additional questions from you guys.

We would love to have you post your ideas for show segments and reviews here, too. We are constantly working on things for the show and want your input. This is your podcast, too!!!!

I'm glad to represent you DL folks!!!!

Oh yeah! So is it in the current one then? Is it mixed in with stuff about WDW? Just wondered how it works.

We're still working out the details, but the last couple podcasts have been mostly DL. This week's email show was all DL. In the future, they might have a weekly segment from one of us or they may even devote some time in a separate show. There will be some experimentation.

Regardless, there will be a show description that will clue you in to what is being discussed that week. In the meantime, have fun listening to the show!

Hi Everyone!!!
I am so excited that Disneyland will be represented on the podcast!! Now if your going to Disneyworld or Disneyland you can get the extra inside tips!! Please send us emails on any questions!!

I've listened to the first half of the Disneyland one. Love it so far! :thumbsup2 It is interesting to hear what he thought of DLR. I know it is technically called The Magic Kingdom and he doesn't want emails about that ;) , but that term is used in a much more general way here than they do at WDW. No one calls the park by the name "Magic Kingdom". They call it Disneyland. Magic Kingdom is more of a discriptive phrase here rather than a name. (As in Disneyland- The Magic Kingdom) Plus it gets confusing which one you are talking about if you call them both Magic Kingdom.

Anyway, I liked the comments on the food. I have heard the food is better at WDW and I believe it. He was right on about the BB. The scary thing is, I think the food at the park has improved over the years. We used to be rather frustrated in years past that every place had the same blah food. We would go over to the DLH to find something different. Now there are some places I love but I do think there is definately room for improvement.

Can't wait to hear more! :cloud9:
