Just wondering how the wedding planning is going!

It is going slowly!!! We don't have any thing firmed up yet-not even a date!! We are still trying to figure out where we want to go-we are planning on having a destination wedding! Most likely the Carribean but I do want to check into Disney weddings-doubtful it is in our price range but you never know! My good friend and coworker offered this week to make my wedding dress-isn't that fabulous! She knows exactly what I like. I would think that in the next few months/end of summer we should have a better idea of exactley what we are doing!

DH and I are going to a wedding at WDW at the end of May. I know it's costing the bride's parents a pretty penny with the ceremony at the Wedding Pavillion and the reception at the Yacht Club. But DH and I saw a really sweet wedding taking place once at the gazebo between the Boardwalk and Epcot once. It looked like a couple from somewhere in the orient with just them, 2 witnesses, and the officiant. Although it was small, to us it looked beautiful. And I'm sure that must have been reasonably priced. DH and I also learned that on average, a wedding takes place on WDW property every 6 hours.

Good luck figuring it all out. Can't wait to hear all the details.

OH it sounds like so much fun to be planning!
What a great friend to make your wedding dress!
I am sure they must have weddings for every budget at Disney!
I know someone who sent to a Sandels resort (Jamaica I believe) - with just their maid of honor and best man - and she said the wedding was free? The pictures were BEAUTIFUL!

Yes both the Sandles and Beaches resorts do free weddings, we are considering Beaches as they allow children. Most resorts do wedding but some of them have alot of "hidden charges". I would like to do a beaches wedding, the resorts look gorgeous!
