worship: :worship: :worship: there are ten of us heading away to wdw at the end of sept and i would really really appreciate help concerning which ADR to make because in a couple of days the 180 day window for making them wil be open our oldest person is about 60 and the youngest about 13/14 please please help :worship: :worship: :scared: BTW i am on the DDP

By the way just to let u's know i am actually the second youngest in the group at 17 so i probably wont be the one to choose the park days and i also haven't been to disney world since 2001(exept last year when we went for 1 day and did AK epcot & MK and still managed to get to DTD for reservations at cap'n jacks) so the others in my group would probably know better than me.

We will be using disney transportation & are staying at POR

AS we are staying for two weeks 9/18 - 10/2 we will be taking the first week and doing a park a day but during the second week we will be just taking our favourite bits out of each park and so the second week is flexible

i think that on the second day we will head to MGM then the 3rd day to MK the 4th to epcot and the fifth to AK the rest of the time is flexible although it is all very flexible because we can leave early to go to our ADR and come back the next day to finish what we missed

we are all from northern ireland where we really enjoy our food lol lol so we are flexible i just really wanted to know things like is there anywhere that is bad /good for a group of 10 or anywhere to give a miss or to definately go things like that !

Some things that will help people to better help you:

Does your group have transportation, or will you be using Disney transportation?

What park days do you have planned?

What resort are you staying at?

It's usually easiest to pick the best restaurant in the area knowing how many days you have scheduled for each park. Also Disney transportation can slow things down, so it'd be best to not schedule dinner in a different resort on a non-park day.

If you first plan out which park you'll be at each day, where you are staying, what you plan on doing, then its easier to plan your meals around that.....that's what I do and it works out great!!!!!

I would suggest checking out Boma, Crystal Palace and Ghiradelli's has great ice cream. Another thing we plan some of our ADRs around is if there is an early morning or late evening at a certain park. :wizard:

Are you going to be on the dining plan?

Here are some of my favs for each park and a few resort choices thrown in for good measure:

Epcot: Biergarten, Coral Reef
MGM: 50's Prime time, Sci-fi (lunch only)
AK: I'd head over to AK lodge and either try Boma or Jiko
MK: I'd head over to the Poly for Ohana and don't miss Kona Cafe for breakfast!

Resorts: Spoodles at the Boardwalk, and Artist Point at Wilderness lodge in addtion to those listed above

If you are looking for Character Dining, I like the Norway Princess meal, either for Lunch or Dinner and I also like 1900 park faire for breakfast

If you are looking for a show, hoop-de-doo is a lot of fun and the food is decent as well.

Good luck!

I will tell you what to do. Look up http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm
Those are menu's of every place in WDW. You can get the family involved, to see what everyone, may like to try.

My favs are:
Boma'
Ohana'
Wolfgang Pucks' in DTD

You need to know what days you are going where. How you find out. Is go to WDW website look up the calendar. For your dates, then you know what park you would like, then plan your meals accordingly!

Example:
Sept 23. I am going to be @ Epcot. I want to watch illuminations there @ 9p.m. So, I am making reservations to eat @ Tutto Italia @ 6:30p.m.

Hope this helps!

This will be our 3rd trip with the eight of us and some of our past favorites for our larger group were:

50's Prime Time (food was okay but we had a blast there)
Boma (for different types of things you don't normally get to taste)
Chef Mickey Lunch or Dinner (most of the major characters and a decent buffet)
Crystal Palace Breakfast (we loved this buffet and the character interaction was really fun...plus you get in before the park opens which is kind of cool...no big crowds at the gate etc...just kind of quiet)

Hope that helps...enjoy!!

all ears has menus--so check them out.

Some places you might want to consider are:

Beirgarten Epcot -- The food is good, served buffet style with banquet seating.

For a character meal try taking the monorail over to the Contempory for Chef Mickey's (breakfast or dinner)

Raglan Road at DTD would be fun for your group too! Although it might make you home sick!

Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom might be something you' might consider as dinner is served family style. Turkey, mac and cheese, stuffing-- traditonal Thanksgiving fare.

Sci-Fi at MGM would be fun too. You dine in "cars" like a drive-in theater. The food is only so-so but the Sci-fi film clips they play are really funny. You're group would need two cars.

Have a great trip!

We once had a family reunion with 10 as well in disney ranging from young to old. I can give a brief list of everywhere we ate that trip which helped with a large group

MK: Crystal Palace- buffet style so everyone is happy and you have winnie the pooh characters

Yacht Club- Cape May- another buffet with seafood, right outside of epcot

Poly- O'hana- hands down a must for large groups, and you get to see MK fireworks at night. I really thing this was an amazing place to go with a large group since there is interaction and you will just have fun. It is not a place to go if you are wishing for a quiet meal, deff. alot going on

Boardwalk- Spoodles, we were staying at BW so spoodles was easy one night

I personally like 50's PT, Wolfgang Pucks DTD, Le Cellier, Restaurant Marakesh, Tokyo Dining, 1900 Park Fare, Chef's de France, Garden Grill, Boma, Kona,

:thumbsup2 as there are two families in our group of 10 we were each asked to try and decided about 6 reservations we might want so here are my possible reservations....

Le cellier 27 or the 28 not sure which...

Cap'n Jacks 26

Liberty tree tavern 20

Boma 22

Narcossee 19

Maya grill 25

p.s still haven't decided on whether to do Sci fi or not ??? was one of my choices so might do for lunch someday but i dont know ??? :confused3 :confused3

p.s.s i am also thinking about maybe going to O'hana, crystal palace and kona for breakfast ???
