:cool1: So he's planning on officially asking my mom for permission/blessings to propose to me this weekend. My dad makes him way too nervous, so he's going to do it while dad's at work. :rotfl2: :woohoo: But yeah, my mom started talking about our getting married earlier in the week and flat out said that she wishes we could get married as soon as possible. I'm a wreck while he's gone at school for the week, completly unbearable to her sometimes even :lmao: But she knows we really love each other and that we both really want this. So he feels a lot more comfortable and is going to ask her this weekend.

OH!! And she said she's gonna help pay for whatever kind of wedding I want when it's time, as long as I don't force her to live in a cardboard box from expenses. So maybe I will be having a slightly larger wedding than just two guests. :scratchin

You should tell her to mess with him .Tell himit's not up to her and DDad doesn't really like you .He will just die but it will be worth it in the end.

:rotfl2: Can you just imagine the look on his face! When my DF asked my mom and dad for permission he was about to break out in a sweat. He is really nervous around my Dad and I know he probably would have passed out if dear old daddy said no

:rotfl2: I might have to consider doing that. But I think he'd know something was up, since she's more or less already told him that she's waiting for him to propose. Hmm, but it is a really good idea. I just might have to go talk to mom.
Ah, I'm so excited!! :figment: :maleficen :hmghost: :goofy: :simba: :stitch:
:sulley: :tigger: :ccat: :donald: :dumbo: :mickeyjum

Congratulations, you have to let us know how he pops the question. :)

So he talked to her today, after forcing me to go shower early so I wouldn't be able to hear anything.
He told me after that he never really asked her since she already knows we plan on getting married in two years (which was made official this afternoon :cool1: ). From what he said, they basically talked about how I've changed my mind every day for the past two weeks about what I wanted the wedding to be like and laughed it up. But she knows. Or so he says. Anyway, we went out shopping and I mentioned that the whole planning can't even begin until we know where he's going for his masters, but he said, and this made me happy, that he was under the impression it would be within weeks of our graduation May of 2008! So looks like I'm having a spring/summer wedding of 2008! WOO :cool1: :cool1:
Then completely by chance, I caught the Disney Fairytale Wedding special on the FoodNetwork and watched with my mom and dad. Daddy, ever the thoughtful one, started fooling around that he was in pain- his wallet hurt just watching the show. :rotfl2: But my mom and I watched the whole thing, and I just kept telling her that what I want isn't nearly as huge as what they were showing. Then she asked me if we were getting engaged.... um, wasn't he supposed to tell her that he was planning on that?

So now I'm back where I started except I now have an idea of when things are happening- engaged before my birthday (July) this year, and married after graduation (May 2008). Now to work on how to pay for everything... :scared:
