Thanks for sharing Wayne. I have used the Amex code to book for our May trip which gave me a 20% discount and it let me Pre-pay with my Visa card. I will take my Amex card card with me just in case.

Thanks from me also, booked for April, 16 nights for £230 with 8% cashback. So pleased, every other quote I had was round about the £370-£400 mark!! Hope they don't want to see my platinum amex!!

Unfortunetly I couldn't use this one, looking at prices now I am working out with Amex code it was around 50% off full price, maybe a little more. Best I had earlier this year was around 35-40%.
Best was around 2 years ago with the Expedia/Hertz glitch, didin't matter how many weeks you bought it still only charged for 1 week, we got almost 4 weeks for price of one (£190?)

I've just used the 591064 code and it gave me a discounted standard SUV and intermediate SUV to choose from too, but taking into account the fuel I have to pay on top I still have a better deal with US rentacar, albeit it's with Alamo.

What dates & price you getting? I will let you know if I see cheaper. USrentacar is not often the cheapest, must be 3 years since I found them to have lowest price.

USA rentacar was 252.00 with the platinum package, we're driving from Miami to Orlando and back again, so wanted to make sure we were fully covered. Not bothered about the extra driver.

Ideally we would prefer Hertz.

Best deal I can see for Standard SUV is thru Netflights/Alamo, with Gold cover they are quoting £215.94 less 8% = £198.66 (Although I seem to remember them not paying casback on the Gold upgrade last time I rented thru them, that was direct, not thru Carrentals)

Which car did you price up on Hertz using the Amex code, just had a look and saw 7 Passenger Standard SUV, FRAR Ford Explorer or similar at 171.37 less 8% Quidco = £157.66, thats not a bad price for a 7 seater SUV.

When Hertz give car results they only show 10 cars, at the top of the list of cars it says " Sort Vehicles by: Price | Size Results 1 - 10 Show all (39) " You need to click on "show all(39)" it should then reveal all cars available and include the one I quoted.

Hertz appears to be 28 days, found this on USrentacar for others:

Alamo/National and Dollar (florida)= 56 days.

Budget/Dollar = 28 days.
