Hershey/Southwest Certificates

Iam I the only one still waiting for the gift certificates from Hershey/Southwest promotion. I received three out of five in March and thats it. I call each month. They say they are waiting for more to be printed? Anyone else?

Yes, I'm still waiting (and calling) for my DH's vouchers. In October, 2000, I mailed enough upcs for two sets of vouchers, and, received a set in my name in December...

It's almost time for me to call again for the latest info--has been the same story for several weeks--waiting for more vouchers!
I'm determined to get my DH's set of vouchers, and, will post when/if I receive them!!
Anyone still waiting for these, please post when you receive them TIA!
(I don't think I'm going to participate in another promotion like this again... )

I am still waiting for 1 as well... I've also called, and been told they are waiting for more certificates... I'm getting very nervous, because we are going in December & dates have been released through October 26th... the next time they release dates, I've got to buy our tickets... I cannot believe I am still waiting & potentially will lose that certificate.... I'm not happy about the situation....

Do you know how often SW posts fares? We are going in November and have been waiting for the farest come out. Thanks!

Well, right now they are out through I believe October 26... I would say within the next 4 weeks they have got to extend that date.. it's been at least 2 weeks, maybe more that they pushed the October 26th date... I hope they hold off for a bit of time still, so that I can get that certificate in!!!!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE RECEIVED SOME OF YOUR CERTIFICATES BUT NOT THE OTHERS....BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. I RECEIVED ALL OF MINE BUT THEY HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE ON THEM..CHECK THE EXPIRATION TO MAKE SURE THEY DON'T EXPIRE WHILE YOU ARE WAITING ON THE OTHER ONES!!

Where was the expiration date listed? My certificates are just BLANK - no expiration date listed... but I remember the promotion said 2-28-02 or something like that...

I made my monthly call today, and they said good news, the distributor said the certificates are in and will be mailed this week. Lets hope so. I received 3 out 5 in March and let my friend use them to book her tickets for the DCL cruise in July, we travel alot, so i can use mine another time. Mine had no expiration dates. I hope the new ones dont either. Also when my friend called, she is still owed 3, they have her down for all 4 again. Her gain?

Leslieh--I called Hershey's yesterday and was told the same thing--hoorah!! Also, the girl was able to confirm that I will be getting my DH's vouchers, and, should receive them by June 8th! Yes, a nice surprise for your friend!
I think the Hershey cust service people are glad to be able to tell us something different/good news for a change, Ha. The Hershey contacts I have spoken with during the past months have been pleasant and understanding. I think southwest wasn't expecting such a large response to this Hershey promotion!
Chris1gill--good for you--Sounds like you should be getting your vouchers before SWA posts your dates! My dates have been out for a few weeks, so, not sure if I'm going to be able to use SW vouchers this year. The set I already rec'd are also "blank" on the expiration line. I hope my DH's will be blank too so that if we don't use them this year, we can use them next year! Anyway...sounds like the wait is almost over...

This is all pretty interesting. We sent in our UPCs only a week before the end of the promotion--Jan 31, I believe--and got our gift certificates around 1 April.

As for SWA booking: We checked for the cheapest fares on-line first, then called SWA to reserve our flights. After that we had to drive to the airport to redeem our gift certificates.

Later on...twice, in fact...our fares went down. We simply drove to the airport and received vouchers for the difference. The vouchers are good for one year to fly SWA again. I believe we will have to book and redeem the vouchers within the year, not necessarily fly within the year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems that the ones who sent in last got their's first? Go figure. Im waiting for the ones i sent in December, i got the three i mailed in January. We had to go the travel agent to book with them, they would do it with no fee. It was 50 miles closer than the airport.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally received the last of my certificates from Hersheys today!! The return address was "Advanced Response Systems". I am thrilled to be done with the waiting and now will just have to wait for some good fares to book the flights for our cruise!!

I was coming to post the same thing!! I was so excited to see it in the mail!! This was our fourth & final to come in, what an excellent mail day!
