Well next week we will be off on a journey to boggle the mind. Exploring at the Hershey RV show on Thursday. Maybe we will find something we like although technically not in the market......maybe a 5er.
Have to take my camera and notebook with me to remember what we like. To all going, be safe and enjoy.

Dangerous situation! :D We've been there!!

We say - just looking - sure!

Chris,

Just take a couple signed blank checks. When you buy that HUMONGOUS 5er, the dealer will just fill in the amount later while you're still in a happy daze. It will be completely painless - you won't feel a thing! :rotfl2:

From the time I leave until we get back home I will just keep repeating, "we are just looking, just looking. "

Let us know how that works for you... :)

Be safe and enjoy. Maybe one of these years we will get there. After all, we only live about 2 hours away from it.

If that doesn't work, I can tell them I need to wait until I get a big enough truck to haul it. :thumbsup2

Paul, figured I was off and since I am only over here in the Pocono's would take the trip down, and Thursday is Veteran's Day so get in for half price.

Unfortunately DW and I both have reserved our "Vacation" time for our next trip in November to the Fort. Eventually we will get there. Maybe it's better we don't go to the show just yet. We did after all just get a new TT (Coachmen 343QBDS) so we should probably avoid looking just yet.

So here it is Tuesday, all the Goodies are snug on the lot down in Hershey. Work tomorrow and an early wake up on Thursday to drive down to the RV show. Last time we were there we did not get to see the trailers as we worked a booth inside. Can't wait to see.....so excited.

So we have returned from the plethora of trailers located in Hershey. My head is spinning and well....we have narrowed it down to about 6 trailers that we would consider purchasing at a future time. So some more research is in order. Was surprised at how many units were sold, as this is only the 2nd day of the show. So we will continue our search and maybe next year.....new trailer and a return to the Fort ? Hmmmm.

I am afraid to go "looking" at campers. We just got a new one... if we go looking, DW would probably want a different one.

I do want to go to the Show though. Probably won't happen this year though. :(

Paul,
It was a lot of walking, up and down stairs in and out of trailers. Found a few that we liked, saw a couple new one's the factory rolled out. One had a huge garage under a raised rear den, would fit a pair of 12ft kayaks. So a lot to talk about and think about before buying.

The STL RV show was the weekend after we picked up our new trailer this past January. Friends were looking to replace their T@b they had sold in the fall so we accompanied them. I was mostly looking for accessories and places to camp that were close. We did hit all the mid-bunk trailers that were there. We saw the one that we didn't get to see before buying ours and we walked away convinced we made the right choice. All the others we looked at had something we didn't like, so I consider it a successful show. I did come home with a screen door pull bar. Didn't have one on the old 5er, but always wanted one.

Chris- Glad you got to see what's out there and managed to walk away without a new one. There's always next year and all the new things that will come with the 2018 models.

Never been to the RV show (which is a shame because I am only about 2 hours from Hershey), but I think I'd like to see the "Gadgets" and "Accessories" as much as the RV's. Do they have that at the shows too?

Yes and campgrounds usually have some brochures. Sometimes even some fishing stuff at the Nashville one.

Paul,
There is a whole setup of vendors on the floor of the Giant Center, camping world, etc with stuff. They also circle the concourse. We didn't really go in there as all the RV's were outside. The wife and I have attended before and been on the floor.

Since my parents and I are close to Hershey (30 mins), we usually go every year. This year was no different. My parents went early Wednesday morning and picked me up from work and went down to look around. Well to my surprise, we went in and looked around at the same camper company that we have now (Forest River - Cedar Creek) and as we were leaving the one unit, my parents told me that they bought that camper. So this week we have been cleaning out the one we have (we have had it since 2009) and we pick up the new one tomorrow.

Well congratulations and may you have many adventures camping.

Thanks!!! After a very long day of picking up the new one, we got it home and now the process of putting things back in and getting rid of most of the items that were in the old one is looming. We have the bathroom done and the storage bays done. Now onto the kitchen and bedroom. We didn't realize how much stuff we had in the old one until we started cleaning it out...URGH!!! My parents leave Wednesday for Dover, DE for the races (I join them on Friday). Then they leave next Wednesday for Florida to take the camper down there permanently.
