Hershey/Fort Washington Trip

I posted this on the CB and had no responses...BB's can you help?

We are headed to Fort Washington to visit friends with a stop in Hershey to see Chocolate World and the Hershey Story.

I'm looking for a clean, safe, inexpensive (100 or less) hotel near Hershey. Any Suggestions?

My friend lives in Fort Wash. She gave me the name of the 3 hotels in town but none has a great review on Trip Advisor. Any personal experience out there? My friend doesn't have an opinion on any of them. Or are there hotels in a nearby city that would be better?? Again, clean, safe and inexpensive.

We bid for a 3 star Hotel in Hershey on priceline for $50 and got the Marriott Courtyard on Roosevelt Avenue. Normally its $140 - $190 a night and its very nice and brand new.

We are going July 27th through August 1, 2010. We go to Hershey alot and we have liked all the 3 star hotel we have gotten through priceline. Good luck!

The White Rose Motel is right on Chocolate Avenue. It's family-owned and well maintained with a pool, microwave, fridge and laundry. I'm not sure what the summer rates are but they are reasonable and well located. Another probably cheaper one is the Simmons Motel also on Chocolate Ave and within walking distance of Chocolate World.
