Registration opens in the beginning of May. Any other WISHers going? My poor DH only goes on one vacation a year and I have planned it around this race. Good thing he's supportive. :-)

I am definitely interested in it. One of my friends works for the company and it would be nice to visit. Is it as fun as a Disney race, I know it just started last year, but hopefully someone on DIS ran it? It conflicted with the Wine & Dine last year, but it won't this year!

I want to run a course that smells like chocolate!! :woohoo:

It is one I want to do some day. Right now my fall is up in the air. I am supposed to go to Europe with some friends but if airline prices don't come back down we might have to postpone the trip which means I'll need to find some fall races.

I'm planning on doing this - we live right outside of Hershey - it would be great to meet up with fellow WISHer's doing this run.

Hmm...I think this might be something I need to look into. Sounds fun! I was looking into going to Hersey Park anyways! We end up with quite a few of us there this year! :upsidedow

If it doesn't conflict with Wine and Dine (like the previous poster mentioned), I might be in! Still not sure if I'm doing Wine and Dine . . . or what i am doing this fall. Waiting to see if the Lottery for the NY Marathon comes through. Until then, all planning has ceased.

I ran the Hershey half last year. While not on the same level as Disney, it was fun. The finish was a mess- really chaotic and hard to get water. It was great to have some of the park open at night with no lines at the coasters.

The course itself just had some smaller hills. The smell of chocolate was wonderful! One warni ng- they say the course narrows twice. The first is brief but the secons time it is on a sidewalk for over a mile which was very crowded and hard to pass. I'm trying to figure out my fall amd might run it again.

DH and I plan to do it this year. It does not conflict with Wine and Dine so we are planning on doing both.

I'm thinking about doing it as well because it's only about an hour away from me.

I wish they would move this to a Sat am race, so you have the post-party in Hershey in the evening. Who wants to run around a theme park BEFORE a race?

But it looks like a really fun race, and something I would love to do at some point in my racing career. One day!

Now all I have to do is convince my DH to go.... hmmm.... Maybe he'll go for it since it will be somewhere other than Disney.... Let the plotting begin:idea:

Interesting thought - although I think traffic control in the area might be easier on Sunday as opposed to a Saturday. The entire park isn't open, just a select area and only for a few hours, I think it would be manageable for the runners!
