Aren't they the greatest dogs? We have had many, many dogs in the past, but I have decided that I will not be without a BMD. She is so sweet and smart. And lazy, like me...

Yes, she is. I now have her, a lab, a mutt(smartest dog I have had), and a Newfoundland. I have had several other labs, Toy Manchesters, and a shar pei (God rest their little doggie souls.) I have loved them all, but this breed is my favorite. And she is so sweet, I will always want to have a Bernese Mountain Dog. I highly recommend them to anyone-singles or families. She is very vocal, so she is a great watch dog, but probably wouldn't even bother an intruder. But she is big (90 lbs), so that might scare someone....BMD's are somewhat of a couch potato, so unless you instigate the walk, she is content just to lay around like a lump.
