Yes, I know when they "historically" come out, but you'd think since they have free dining in Jan. and discounts out for most of next year that they could cut us some slack and give room only for early next year already. I would love to get all my ducks in a row, it all seems so much more real then.

I'm guessing it'll be 2% better than the current discount with only limitted availability. That seems to be the current trend, isn't it?

I was wondering about AP rates for Jan as well. I did get the 25 or 30 off for Pop, but if the rate was good enough I might change resorts.

Sounds like several of us passholders are wanting a better rate at AKL for January than what they are offering right now for the GP. We may stay at Pop Century if we can't get a good rate for AKL.

We just upgraded to AP's during our last trip, so I am new to AP rate thing. I went ahead and booked at POR with the room only % GP discount for Jan 6-9 for my birthday weekend, but would like to stay at a deluxe if a good 42-45% off discount comes for AP holders. I would even be happy if they opened up King rooms at a Mod for a discounted AP rate. Right now we are in 2 doubles, and this is our one 2011 weekend getaway just the two of us, so a discounted King room would be nice!

I have a question - we are planning on buying APs before our trip in January. This will be our first time having them, but we are going also in June & then again in fall/winter 2011, so it is best to get them.

I already booked POFQ at 30% off....are the AP rates usually better than that? If a better rate comes out, can I call to buy the AP that day & then use it to change the discount? Do you have to have the AP in hand before making the room res?

I don't want to "activate" the AP until we get there in January b/c I want to have the full year to use it.

Does that make sense?

I believe you don't have to have the AP until you actually check into the room.
