With the risk of having flight delays, issues with your room, or any other unforeseen mishaps I have started making my arrival day reservations exclusively through Open Table who do not charge a cancellation fee.

Participating eateries on property include:

Raglan Road
The Boathouse
Morimoto Asia
Paradise 37
Fulton's
Shula's
Il Mulino
Garden Grove
Blue Zoo

Another option is to join the Landry Club for priority seating without a reservation at RFC, T-Rex and Yak and Yeti

Keep in mind that open table reservations open up at the 60 day mark

Thanks, I'll bookmark this because on our last trip we had a 2+ hour flight delay which was just enough to change our dinner plans. Fortunately I had not booked an ADR and we ended up grabbing a quick dinner at the S/D pool bar before heading into HS for eve. emh. We had planned to use our hoppers and hit AK for a couple of hours and try walk up at Yak and Yeti before HS emh.

I have Landry's and I love it. $25 one time fee and you never wait for a table, you get $25 on your bday and everytime you spend $250! We have Bubba Gumps, Mortons, McCormick and Schmidts and a few more Landry's places by us and its more than worth it. If you have and go to any Landry's places, I'd say to get it anyway.

I am also in a similar boat as you because I think that I want to do MVMCP on our arrival day and even though we are going to get a really early, direct flight, I'd hate to miss that party. We will be coming in from Chicago in early December, so there could be snow, hoping it's not but still.

Anyway, my advice is to go the Landry's route and then if you decide that you want to go somewhere else, see if you can get an ADR for somewhere once you're at MCO. Have a great trip!

Thats a great idea... I booked the Boathouse through open table didn't know all the other restaurants were on there Thanks !!!!

i preach this constantly! You have no control over your actual arrival time. Why add stress of a non-refundable ADR to your travel day.

you might be a disney dining nut if you plan your flights around your dining, lol

I think unless it is a very expensive non-refundable situation you just have to be ok with the risk of losing $10/person if you want to do that. In the course of a multi thousand dollar vacation it is not the end of the world.

That's a great suggestion.

I made Raglan Road for later in the week with Open Table and now made The Boathouse for our arrival day. I also have a Landry's card and since we are staying at Kidani and I figured we could take the bus to AK and go to Rainforest if we are too tired for Disney Springs or if our flight is delayed.

I know you can also call T Rex/Rainforest Cafe directly and schedule a reservation (if you don't want a Landrys card). It's done over the phone and no CC hold!

These are good ideas. Also if there is even one counter service where you'd like to eat during a mostly table service trip, then arrival day may be the best time for that!

Thanks for the tip! I had no clue about this. I was just going to wing it when we get there, but now I am about to book either Morimoto or Raglan Road.
