According to All Ears:
Test Track will be closed Monday, January 9, 2006, through Tuesday, February 14, 2006. It's scheduled to reopen Wednesday, February 15, 2006.

I guess that's the trade off for going when the rates are cheaper and the crowds are lower! I just hope none of the other major rides are scheduled for refurbishment during that time. One is enough!

I just read that too and I'm so bummed! I dread telling my 7 year old; he was looking forward to Test Track the most. Oh well, I guess it gives us an excuse to go back sooner!

That is probably my favorite Disney ride. We are either looking at going in early December or late January. I guess the only thing I have going is if we go in late January we aren't going to Epcot this trip. In Dec. we would to see the Santa's.
Thanks for the heads up.

my kids will definitely be happy! They hated us for making them go on it since they're not big thrill ride seekers... :rotfl: darn!

just read this on all ears as well. honestly my only concern is with Test track closed, there will be more people trying to get on Soarin and Mission space. Still Epcot is our least favorite park so as long as the don't refurish all of the MK or TOT we'll be okay. Seriously i 've never seen them shut down more than one major ride at a time, so we'll be okay!!

Well think how bummed us October goers are. Turtle Talk, Ice Station Cool, Living Seas, The river boat, and the church in Norway are closed for refurbishing. I will trade Test Track for Turtle Talk and the river boat for scary story telling... :rotfl2: If only it was that simple...

I will be at Epcot on the Sunday before closure. THANK YOU!

I got scared when I read this, luckily I will be there from the 2nd to 9th of Jan so I will be able to go on it!

What a bummer. That's one of my favorite rides and I'm not a thrill seeker. We arrive on January 6 so it looks like we are heading to Epcot for the first part of our trip.

We will be there from Feb 8 - 15 so we will have one day to ride it!! I am also hoping Expidition Everest will have some soft openings at the time we are there!! You can hope can't you?? (I am also hoping for free dining!!!)and for a million bucks... :flower:

Maybe they will open BWs! I haven't been in that pavilion in years, now! Loved Cranium Command!

I'm jumping on your bandwagon. We'll be there the exact same time, and I would love to pick 'all of the above' :teeth:

:sad1: NOooooo!!! This is so not fair. I was really looking forward to getting to ride this time. Last time we were there, it was June and our Fast Pass was for 1:00-2:00pm. It was freakin' hot and I'd just eaten lunch so I really wasn't up to riding anything that would make me queasy. (Too much heat with fast rides equals disaster for me.) So I figured going in January really wouldn't be a problem for me at all. Not I'm depressed. :sad1:

My husband is going to be upset also. I know he really wanted to ride Test Track since it didn't even exist the last time he was there.

Well poop!

Well put! I've been there 4 times since test track opened and never got a chance to ride it. Guess this will be number 5.

We arive on Jan 4th, so I guess if we are going to do it, do it early. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, today we decided January it is for us too-- the 1/21-1/28. However, we're cutting Epcot out this trip to go to SeaWorld. Looks like it's a good thing, because Test Track is my absolute favorite.

Sorry for the rehab during your trip...it is a bummer, but if it's any consolation, TT does close down a LOT during the summer and rainy times etc., we have been there during normal operating times, and we have more often than not been given the purple "return ticket" as it has broken down for some reason or another. Maybe we are jinxed, and it is a blast, but you will have a great time anyway, I think Soarin' and MS will still be fine crowd wise, I'm sure WDW will have taken this into consideration.
