Thanks, Bernadette! It is KILLING me waiting for him to get home. I imagine he will be cranky since he couldn't sleep last night.
His school hours are 8:55 - 4:10. Lunch is either 12:30 or 1:15. I hope he got 12:30 because 1:15 is awfully late! I told him he should carry his water bottle to class so he can at least have something to drink, then he can buy a drink at lunch.
I don't "do" supply lists. We have a trunk (LITERALLY - a huge footlocker type trunk) full of supplies. It was all "required" stuff that I bought but never sent to school. I figured he could pull it out as he needed it. The supplies I sent to school disappeared, never to be seen again and definitely never used by DS. The thing is, he NEVER needed most of it! They told us for today to send the kids with paper and pens and the teachers would let them know what they need for each class. The only supplies I bought for this year were note cards, red pens, and a few composition books. He had everything else on hand. Paper, folders, spirals, pens, highlighters, all of it.
Yes, it really is that hot here.
Heat index is 110 today.
DH just called. DS called him to say he is on the bus, but the bus hasn't pulled away from the school yet.
