Here we go again - WDW & DCL with Uncle Tom & Aunt Jen!

I wish my niece was a girly girl and would do BBB, but no such luck! If your looking for invitations, over in the DISigns section of the boards there are several designers who will make an invitaion to BBB or to dine with Cinderella. They are very cute.

Also yea for extra days at the world! Two trips, totally awesome!

Just catching up with your updates! Your ADR's look great - and I'm sure your nieces will love BBB! It's really great that you are getting completely "into it" for them (and I'm sure for you too!) I think your great outlook and excitement will rub off on them and set the tone for a great vacation!

Looking forward to more updates!

OH-- and please take some great pictures of MNSSHP and the MK for us!!!

Thanks for the good tip on heading over to the DISigns section! I am going to browse over there for some good ideas!

Thanks for coming back & catching up (not that its been all that exciting yet!) I will do my best to take some great photos w/ my new camera and lens.....that being said, it's a bit intimidating and I hope I can figure out how to use it before I get to WDW! ......I guess I'll have something to do on the flight now - read my camera manual over and over!

Well, I'm back with a few updates. First, I forgot to post this last week, but I changed the check-in date for my DH and I to check in on Saturday, Feb. 4th. I did this mostly because we like to have a night to catch up with our Florida friends, and I know I'll be running around like crazy with my nieces. So I called DVC and I was able to get a value studio for Saturday night and just added the extra night onto my existing reservation  When I told my mom this she decided she wanted to come in a night early too so she added Saturday night onto her reservation as well (not sure which day Aunt Jo will be meeting up with us yet). It actually works out better for us -- especially since we'll probably still be living in Maine. The airport is small up here, there really are not a lot of flights down to Orlando on a daily basis. In fact, the only direct flights are on Saturday and typically don't get us down there until 4:00 PM or later. So, this way I'll be there when my cousin and his family arrives (they are coming from NJ and they will be booking a really early flight 7:00 AM or so).

:banana:I am soooo happy and excited - I booked BBB for the girls today! We will be going to the MK location on Wednesday (our last full day while at WDW). I can't wait! I have to think of a cool way to let the girls know. I was thinking making a personalized invitation for them and giving it to them the day before?? Not sure if I want to do it that way, or perhaps make them a count down calendar (when we're about 1 month out) and have that be on the calendar somehow? Not sure. I do know that I'm seriously considering purchasing one of those cricut machines ...but I'm not sure if I'd even use it enough to justify spending the money to buy one (plus all the extras that I'll need for it :rolleyes1). Maybe I'll ask DH to get that for me for Xmas?? Either way, I do have to come up with some ideas (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!) Since I booked BBB for Wednesday, I switched my ADR's around so that the girls can eat dinner with Cinderella at 1900 PF for dinner on Wednesday night. Here are our dinner plans now with the changes:

Saturday - Sanaa (DH & I, my mom, and our good Florida friends - Marc & Gwen, Adriana & Gilbert)

Sunday - Liberty Tree Tavern

Monday - Teppan Edo

Tuesday - 'Ohana

Wednesday - 1900 Park Fare

Also, I just upgraded my camera to an Olympus DSLR...which I cannot WAIT to use -- I even purchased an extra lens to get really great shots! I'll be going to WDW in September so, this will be the perfect time to try this out! I'll post a very brief TR on this vacation (a TR in a Pre TR perhaps??) The dates for that trip are 9/10-9/17. My mom will be joining me for the entirety of this trip  We will be staying at AKV - Jambo House (yep, staying there for this trip too) we purchased MNSSHP tickets for 9/13...our 1st MNSSHP! Can't wait - I should get some really cool photos of the decorations, parade and fireworks! Then on Wedsnesday 9/14 my DH will be joining us for the remainder of the trip (he couldn't come for the whole trip due to work). I won't go into any great detail on that trip but I will be posting some photos taken with my new camera!

Love the updated ADR's! :thumbsup2 I was just thinking about how to let the girls know about your BBB reservations...I really like your invitation idea. That would be really neat to give them before the reservation. We'll be in WDW on 9/13 to 9/14 too! We actually have a family vacation planned in St. Augustine and we have a condo there so Jay and I are sneaking away for an overnight at OKW. I'm excited! There is no way that could be that close to WDW and not "stop over". I'm also going to get some pictures and trinkets so that when I book the trip, I can start my newsletter and include the pictures, etc. I also figured, I grab some park maps too so I can include them as well! AKV is our home resort but since we were only doing 1 night, OKW was the cheapest in points and we'll get to check it out too!

As a side note, we are taking a tour through Celebration on our way out! I want to see it in person and check it out.:yay:

Hi everyone - just doing a quick check in and update. Well, just when you think you have all of your ADR's and plans set in stone of course there's a change. This happens to be a happy one -- my Aunt Jo will be joining my mom and I on our trip on 9/10 for a few days :cool1: She'll meet up with us on Saturday and stay until Wednesday afternoon! Yay! I love my Aunt Jo! So, I had to go and change our ADR's luckily, I was able to pretty much get everything that I needed. Also, we needed to get her a ticket to MNSSHP so I called DVC and got another one for 9/13. And of course since my mom and I are both wearing T-s from Disneyshopping.com -- Vampire Mickey -- really cute (too hot for costumes and there was no way I could get my mom to wear one anyway). So, I bought one for Aunt Jo so we could all be matchy matchy together -- we've done this before when we were on a Disney Cruise.......

So, after I added my aunt onto our DVC reservation, and called to get the extra MNSSHP ticket, and ordered the shirt I'm sitting in my family room when I hear the loudest BOOM! I get up and look out my window and there was a car that hit the weeping willow tree in my front yard! Apparantly this older women lost control of her car (and she REALLY lost control) because she drove across my entire lawn -- whereby missing 3 other trees (we have a huge front yard) and finally hitting the last tree -- and she ended up about 10 feet from crashing into my family room :scared1: I didn't see what happened I only heard the crash. By the time got my shoes on and ran out side there were 2 other cars that had stopped and they were asking her if she was alright. I called 911 and the police were there in like 5 minutes because the police station and fire house is literally at the end of my block. She totalled her Jetta. She seemed to be ok -- I don't think she was bleeding anywhere and she was consious. In fact while I was dialing 911 she was on her cell....I suspect she may have been on the cell BEFORE she hit the tree. So, the ambulance came and took her to the hospital. The tow truck came and towed her car. At which point I went back outside to speak to the police officer as he was leaving. We were both commenting how lucky it was she didn't hit anyone (if school had started there would have been kids walking home as the middle school is right at the other end of my street). I asked him if she had blacked out, or was epileptic maybe had a seizure or stroke?? He said no and apparantly her husband showed up a few minutes after the accident and told the police that this wasn't the first time she lost control of her car :scared1: HELLO......time to take the keys away! Anyway, that's the extent of my crazy day! Hope to have some more February updates soon
!

WOW! That was a close call!! Your update could have been so much different, scary! How exciting your Aunt is coming! That trip is going to be awesome, I can't wait for the TR!

I know-- the driver could have injured many people. I hope her family takes her keys/driving privleges away. I mean, she's done this more than once. She's going to hurt someone.

Well, my DH has accepted an amazing job offer and we're moving to NJ :cool1: I'll get to be close to family & friends again...and especially my nieces! :lovestruc

The issue.... DH has to start on 9/26....giving us only a few weeks to find someplace to live! Thank goodnes all the relocation has been taken care of so I don't have to worry about packing everything up (this is the nicest part of a corporate move....they send movers in to pack you up!) We are going to look at houses this weeked. Hopefully we find something because I leave for WDW next Saturday (9/10) for my trip with my mom and my Aunt Joann -- unless this pesky hurricane Katia has anything to say about it....and she better not!

So, that's the only update I have, and I'll probably be a bit occupied before I leave for my September trip --I'll have tons of photos when I get back -- if anyone has any photo requests please let me know!

Oh my gosh! Congrats on the move closer to family. I just got power back after Irene, so there is a lot to catch up on! So glad nothing bad happened with the woman and the tree!

Looking for a house plus going to Disney in one month, my head would be spinning!

Wow - you lost power for a while! We had no power on Sunday, but by 9 or 10 PM it was back on - and the only reason for this I think is because we are on the same grid as the police station, fire house and the school - which was a designated shelter (all of these places are on the street we live on).

Yes....my head IS spinning! I basically have 1 weekend to find a place to live :scared1: We are going on Saturday to look at places. The realtor has 2 houses and 2 town houses to show us.

Also - I have to go over to your Pre TR and catch up!! I've been so busy with moving companies coming out to give estimates, etc. I've barely had time to DIS!!

Congratulations on your move! That's so exciting and being closer to family is awesome. I know you miss them very much! I hope you had luck finding a place and getting that situated before your 9/10 trip. Can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about the trip! Take care and we'll be here patiently waiting for your next update! Have FUN!!!!

Oh My! I cannot believe I haven't updated my PTR in 2 months :scared1: But, it has been a very very busy and hectic 2 months! In September I travelled to WDW 9/10 - 9/17 for a trip with my mom -- which was WONDERFUL. And I will post photos from that trip very soon. When I returned home, I had about 10 days until our move - which was about as hectic as any move can be. We moved into our new home on October 3rd. In the 1st week in our new home, I applied to, and was interviewed and hired for a job and I started work on 10/13. So, It's been very crazy. Moving from Maine to NJ, both my DH and I starting new jobs, unpacking hundreds of boxes, getting our new house organized and getting settled. I actually just finished unpacking and hanging all of our artwork, and window treatments about a week ago....and then the Nor-Easter hit. The town I live in received over a foot of snow, and we lost power from Saturday to WEDNESDAY! So, I haven't been able to even get onto the DIS in a very log time :sad1:

I just wanted to sign on (even if only for a few minutes) to update my PTR. We are leaving in less than 3 months for our big trip! I am REALLY going to need this vacation!

I'm so glad everything went well! And congrats on the job. I bet all the business (not to mention the trip to DW) helped move the time faster!

Oh my....I have neglected my PTR!!!! Now there is less than one month to go! The holidays just seemed to creep up on me this year. It was the first time in ten years that we were back home in NJ for Christmas! We haven't had 1 free weekend since we moved back in October, but it's been great seeing all of our family and friends. Plus my DH and I both started new jobs, and I am taking 9 credits at school so I can finish my BS in Space Science this year. Busy, busy, busy!!

Christmas day we had the family over our house and it was tons of fun. I got to see my girls :lovestruc and spoil them just a wee bit...., there were princess dresses, and lots of toys for Victoria and Samantha.

Now, I'm just getting into the last minute details of our upcoming trip. I was able to secure a great deal from Budget on a van using codes from here on the Dis - awesome! I reserved a van for the entire 9 days for only $352!!! It was more than double that price on all the other car rental websites! I'll post more of our upcoming details in my next post. Hope everyone had a great holiday season!

I'm back from another WONDERFUL WDW Trip! I wasn't really able to finish this PTR as we had a death in the family before leaving for the trip, so I just did not have the time to complete my PTR (sorry about that). I've already started the TR and you can click this link to go directly there:
Love Will Keep Us Together! A WDW & Disney Dream Cruise TR! February 2012

I Hope I'm able to do our amazing trip justice with my TR!
