Not sure what ROFR is, but yay!

ROFR is Right of First Refusal, it's Disney's way of keeping the value of DVC points. Evidently lots of timeshares have lost all their value and can be purchased for $1 on eBay just so that the people don't have to pay the maintenance fees every year. Disney instituted ROFR so that if points are being sold on the open market too much lower than they would like, Disney will buy them back at the rate the seller is offering. The buyer then has to find another contract. This process takes a max of 30 days, and if Disney passes on ROFR then I get to go ahead with the escrow process and I can buy my points. Otherwise, Disney buys the points and resells them at $120 a point instead of the $68 that I am paying.

So my contract has passed ROFR, now we go into escrow, I pay them the rest of the money and hopefully 2-3 weeks from now, the points show up in my account either that or 2-3 weeks after escrow closes they show up. Either way I hope it all happens before March 27th so I can get in before the 7 months open up and anyone can reserve at these resorts!

More points for Firefly and I to rent??? ;)

Then YAY!!! :cheer2:

BUT YOU need to stop using them up!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Well since we're out of all our frequent flyer files and tickets we won't be going back to the world on any spontaneous trips. We do have one more trip in the planing for May 2012. We're taking our friend Arline who we had to cancel her trip from 2009 because of Fran's Father's illnesses and Fran needing new parts.

If they all go through we'll have 888 points, plenty to rent with adequate planning! Besides y'all appeared to be happy with your studio that you stayed in at BCV...those are cheap! The reason we keep burning through our DVC points is that I insist on the 1 bedrooms with the kitchens and jacuzzi tubs, they take twice the points of a studio!

I'm home sick! I went to work feeling not quite right and while working in the dining room, I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. There's something going around our building, so we're not sure if it was something I caught elsewhere or what the residents have. They sent me home after I threw up, so I'm home, in bed, watching SVU.

...oh. I thought you were just missing your home - hence, home sick.

UGH! We bought a REAL dryer (not like the one Kim offered me) and did you know that when you buy a Home Depot Gift Card at teh Grocery store it takes 24 hours before it is acticated? We had to pay cash for our dryer after we bought the friggin home depot card at the grocery store for the points. I takes 24 freakin hours before they give you your Gift Card....UGH!
