Hi All, :wave2:

I know its been less than a year since my last trip but i just cant help myself and i'm looking to book up for march next year. :woohoo: :woohoo:

This trip will be a bit cheaper than the last CC and 1st class all the way trip as i'm taking my Mum, and she only works part time. We want to try HNY for this trip as neither of us have stayed here and wanted to give this hotel a try. Would love to know all your opinions of the hotel...good and bad :) .

So far the cheapest way I can find of booking the trip is to do Eurostar direct with them and then a Hotel and Ticket package direct with Disney. Has anyone done this before, and how did it work out for you. I know that we wont be able to use the luggage service at the DLP end of the eurostar, but i dont think this owuld matter as mum and i will probably want to get settled before hitting the parks.

Thanks All,

Mickeyetta

I think you'll soon be given all the + points by the HNY supporters :goodvibes

Woo hoo, it's never too early for another trip! :Pinkbounc

We always book the Eurostar independently, it works out much cheaper. We think the same as you, we prefer to settle into our room first before we go to the parks and it's not a problem on the last day either, you could either use left luggage facility at the hotel or leave your luggage at Guest Storage at Disneyland Park where it's 2.50 euros per item.

We have only once booked a package including travel, and that was when we got a free child space. You can leave luggage free at the hotel, or at the park or at the station (not sure of the cost at the station) - remember the cost is per a piece of luggage, does not matter the size. With the current security arrangements at Disney we wondered about leaving the cases there, and what happened was that a sniffer dog went round them and the bags were looked in as normal.

We always like to go to the hotel and check in before going to the parks, the one time we left the luggage and came back later to check in the room was not suitable - they had not read the booking properly and tried putting my mum, my dd and me in a room with one king sized bed!! Also, on the way home we have seen before a queue of people trying to collect their cases from the disney express place at the station.

You will have a lovely time, with the NY being just a very short walk from the park you do not have to rely upon the buses and the parks should be fairly quiet. My mum enjoys the Plaza Gardens for dinner, because at 20 Euros a head it is a good value buffet with "normal food" - she cannot eat certain spices and flavourings.

Have a great time with your mum.

I have never took the eurostar to Disneyland but we always book directly with Disney - works out cheaper everytime as flights to Paris are pretty easy and cheap to book separately. The only reason I would recommend NOT to book directly with Disney would be if you didn't want to spend everyday in the park and were more concerned with seeing Paris. (Obviously because Disney include the park tickets for everyday of your stay)

Where are you from in the UK because if you would consider flying there are a few deals around at the moment. British Airways have reduced fares if you book before September 25th. There is not a lot of difference between flying and eurostar anymore pricewise, obviously flying gets u there slightly quicker.

The HNY is a great hotel, we stayed there twice and have very fond memories of it.
The rooms are nice with a good amount of space, though not as big as the DLH. We found breakfast to be good, never too busy, much easier than the DLH which could get busy quickly.
The CM at the HNY were also very friendly, mouse keeping were very good.

My one experience of flying to DLRP was a 6.45am flight from Bristol, finally arriving at the Cheyenne at 3.30pm, hence our last 2 trips have been by Eurostar 10.30 Ashford, 1.30 DLRP - superb, I can't fault it :goodvibes

Probably tempting fate there aren't I ? :rolleyes1

Thank you all for your replies :cheer2: :cheer2:

Flying is out as Mum hates it. Last time we went to DLP together the flight back was horrendus. I'm ok flying but even I thought it was bad...we were in the cloud all the way back and it was bumpy as H***. :crazy2:

I've done the Eurostar route with hubby twice now and to be fair i think its the greatest thing since sliced bread. Two trains from home and i'm in mouse land :lovestruc :lovestruc

Ta all again off to do more investigating for our trip :thumbsup2

This is a really lovely hotel. It has a great pool. The bar area is really sofisticated. We satyed here 2 decembers ago and would certainly go back. Breakfast is in both restuarants so there is very little waiting. The bus to the parks is frequent or youcan quickly walk through the Disney Village.
