something similar happened to me when we went to DLH during our honeymoon, the room wasn't ready after waiting for two hours (this is back in 2001 when you could pay for early check in but it was only 3pm but anyways...) so I told the lady look I don't want to be spending the first 2 hours of my honeymoon waiting in a hotel lobby!
She said hold on a moment and disappeared around the corner. My husband went and sat down thinking we were now going to get kicked out of the hotel.
She came back and said she was upgrading up to a honeymoon suite, top floor on a corner so we could see the pool and the park. (I don't know the tower name but it is the one directly acroos from the checkin tower.)
So I said thak you and went over to my husband and told him to grab our bags and loets go, the whole time he kept asking whats wrong what s wrong (he wasn't there when the lady upgraded us he had gone and sat down)
SO I told him just to shut up and hurry before they change their mind. My husband thought I created a fuss and was in trouble, lol.
SO we get to the room and there are double doors, my husband starts loking around to see if anyone else had double doors.
We get in and there is a kitchen, gorgeous views, a huge bathroom and bedroom, a little living room just great.
My husband goes "what in the hell did you do? How much did this cost?" I told him free and cometimes it pays to be a pain in the butt. (remember in another thread what I said about Disney making it right?)
So we went to the parks and when we came back there was a huge stuffed Donald Duck and fresh cut strawberries with a variety of dipping things (brown sugar, chocolate, whip cream, regular sugar), and a bottle of chilled apple cider. It had a note from mickey and minnie thanking us for celebrating our honeymoon with them and to ask if there was anything else we needed. HOW COOL IS THAT!
Back when they had the water show at DLH we could see it from our little balcony (well not a really big balcony and you kind of had to hang out to look to the left but you could still see it.
