Here now...what else besides theme park...rush reply plz

At cabana right now. Two adults. Going to rent a car tomorrow as we need a break from theme parks and city walk. I remember seeing a thread about cute towns to visit nearby. Can someone plz provide those names or some other suggestions? I cannot find the thread. Thank you!

There is a really pretty town with quaint shopping a little north on a big beautiful lake but I forgot the name, sorry.

There is Winter Park, they have pretty parks and cute shops along them, a really cute pet boutique also.

A way north 1-1.5 hrs? Is Silver springs, state park with glass bottom boats. Or Crystal Springs where we swam with the manatees but it still may be to early for that. We did it in January (yes water was cold but had a blast)

I will try and find out the name of the lake in the morning.

Got a Car? Try Busch Gardens Tampa. Its a weekday. No problem seeing all they have to offer. Also, the park opens with the national anthem and it is inspiring.

You're from Illinois - go to the beach!

In 45 minutes you can be at Cocoa Beach. Lori Wilson Park has restrooms and showers. Stop in Ron Jon's, the largest surf shop in the world, and have fish tacos for lunch at the Sandbar Sports Grill.

It's a great escape from the parks!

Thank you so much for the quick replies. We have walked about 25,000 steps a day according to our fitbit. A nice town to slowly walk around would be a great change of pace.

Try Celebration. 10 minutes from you. Nice shops and restaurants in the town center.
