Hey All...we checked into the Beach Club this morning about 11:45am and waited about 10 minutes to check in. We went directly to Epcot via the International Gateway and had lunch at Germany...it was great! We then rode the Malestrom...30 minute wait posted...it was more like 20, then we went to Mexico and did their boat ride...it was cheesy as always, but it was inside!! Not one person in line there...we then went to check out Soarin and the Land....70 minute wait on the Land, and 175 minutes on Soarin. Wow...not waiting that long. We then walked onto Imagination and then left to come back to the hotel. We are eating at 5:30 at Chef De France and then are going to do the Illuminations cruise!! Epcot is open till midnight tonight. We will try and do Soarin tonight. Leave me any questions and I will be on for another hour or so, then we will go back to Epcot. Will respond tonight after midnight too!! Have a great day!!!

I am so jealous!!! I sit here at my desk WISHING I was at Epcot every day....anyway, have a super time.....dont you dare wait in those crazy lines, get your fastpasses and stay hydrated!!!! are you on the dining plan? Make sure you do a dining review!! IS your resort room view nice?? Is it great knowing that after you're done touring Epcot, you can just head "home" thru the Gateway?? :cool1:

It's 4:30 pm on Thursday and my Desktop Weather thingy says that its 91 degrees in Orlando right now......I'm in upstate NY, its about 60 and drizzling and we havent seen the sun since Memorial Day :furious: But heatstrokes arent any fun, so take it easy!!! :)

Aww! I wish I were there too :)!! My ds5 loved Soarin and Test Track... get your fastpasses and have a blast. Sorry its hot and crowded...at least your at WDW and not at work ;) enjoy your cruise!

Our view is wonderful!! We have a standard view, but it is of the woods...huge balcony...daybead...it is awesome! Off to France now...

wow, Epcot is open until midnight? Is that EMH, or the hours for the general public?

Wow, thanks for the report, have a GREAT time!!

That would be EMH.

Epcot virtrually always "officially closes" at 9pm (9:30pm some nights around the holidays).

It sounds like you are off to a great start. HAve a great time, we will be there in another 107 days (not that I am counting)

I'll see you in about 18 hours from now. Plane leaves at 6am, arrives at 9, should be in the parks by 11, and eating twin tails at Cap't n Jacks at 7.

We are checking in June 20th to the Beach Club. When you get back please tell me more about your standard location. Are you close to the Quite Pool & international gateway or the Lobby? Have a great time.

Hi! We'll be there next month, having never stayed there before. Could you recommend standard view rooms for us from your experiences walking around? For instance, what would be a standard location near to the lobby, but is not necessarily a view of a parking lot? Is that even possible? What, do you think, would be the feasibility of getting a Fastpass for Soarin' and, if it's a long wait, to come back and ride, using your Fastpass, after your afternoon rest in the room?

Thanks and have fun!

Goodness...I am very jealous!! I hope you have an amazing time...and make some Wishes for us, will ya? Have a Magical and Safe vacation!

My sister and her family are at WDW now also. I will be there with my family in less than 2 weeks :cool1: (BTW-my ticker is wrong) I'm soooo excited :dance3:

Well...it is 12:11am, and I just got back to my room. It was an awesome evening! Dinner at Chef De France was amazing, the tenderloin was great. Too full to have dessert!! We went on Spaceship Earth, then went back to the hotel to catch our Illuminations Cruise....WOW...that is all I can say. What great service we received! Scott was our driver, and he was great! We had such a good time. He even dropped us off at the Friendship boat docks to save us the walk from the Yacht Club. He said that alot of the cast members read the DISboards. So, we then went straight to Soarin...it was a 45 minute wait, and well worth it!! What an awesome ride! We then went on the Land, and came back to the hotel. The Beach Club is awesome. We have a standard room overlooking the woods just behind the quiet pool. We asked for a room near the elevators, and this is what we got. We are on the second floor and have a full balcony. I would not spring for the water view...not worth it IMHO. We have not spent much time in the room at all. So, that is about all I know for now. I will update more tomorrow! Have A Magical Day!!!

Thanks so much for the update!! I love reading "live" updates!! :cloud9:
Glad you are enjoying BC and Illuminations Cruise.

So where are we heading to today???? :yay: :yay:

I'll be posting live with you tomorrow! We fly in late this afternoon, spending the night at ASM, then moving to a 2 bedroom tomorrow at Old Key West(then I can post live!).

Have a great time!
Karen
