here now...horrible time with ART so far

We've also had good experiences with the ART service, picking it up from the Staybridge Suites / Holiday Inn Anaheim hotel area. Not also had too long to wait between buses either there or back, but the hotel is walkable from to DL in any case :)
Thank you! *wipes forehead with relief* ... All these anti-ART posts made me concerned. But it was cool to see someone who thought it was fine -- from EXACTLY where I'll be staying. I took a full tour of Staybridge and Holiday Inn and could've sworn it's fine.

I can certainly understand parties of 2-4 not enjoying this. However, if your party size pushes a certain number (mine's 40+) you're basically dealing with a small-midsize event at this point. I felt that ART would be fun after seeing the front of Holiday Inn and it's less than 10 minutes anways. If we suffer, we're not doing it again. I plan to get a nice photo/video shot of most of my family members in Orange County right there on the bus, in their costumes. It's a different thing in and of itself. The kids will probably think it's fun, and our party will completely dominate the bus. It's like going back to day camp.

Does anyone know of any maps that might help me figure out where the Toy story lot is in comparison to the Standford Inn and how long that walk will be? We already bought ART passes for our November trip, but I am worried about using it with our 4 kids (youngest ones will be 2 and 11 months) and a stroller. Hopefully ART will work okay for us, but if not, I would like to have a backup plan.

The closest hotels to the Toy Story lot are the Sheraton and the Clarion. Google Maps shows the path through the driveway, but if you zoom in you'll notice a sidewalk at the north side of the driveway, along with a way into the parking lot by foot. A lot of people do it and it's never been a problem with Disney.

I've used ART several times and never had a problem! It was at our hotel each morning at the time it said it would be and we never waited more than maybe 15 minutes to catch ours at the end of the night.

It's the inconsistency in meeting the schedule that seems to drive people batty. Each hotel on the stop has a certain potential for paying customers. It's not as if they can just keep on sending bus after bus on a continuous basis. A lot of the reviews also mention buses that were full and just bypassed a stop.

The comparison is to the Toy Story shuttle, which is run by ART. They have a different model, where they arrive empty and fill up at one end and everyone gets off at the other end. Then the next bus arrives. On top of that there's another bus waiting to accept passengers. That's certainly less frustrating.

Thank you so much!! That map is really helpful!

We have had horrible luck with ART today I dont know if we are just so lucky that we just miss the bus everytime or what we have had to wait a good 20 mins each time...we will DEF be staying at Park Vue next time

I am so sorry. We hate ART. :headache: We are going to uber next trip.

When we stay at Motel 6 we use ART and have never had an issue at all! So sorry it is not good for you. This is why we usually try to stay within walking distance, so we don't ever have to wait.
I'm in the same boat as tlovesdis as I usually stay at Motel 6 and always ride ART with no problems. It usually is pretty packed at night depending on what time you leave the parks, but I've had no problems heading over to the parks.

We bought our ART tickets (probably 7 day unlimited) ahead of time before we knew how close our hotel (Desert Palms on W. Katella) was to walk to/from the park so we did a mix of walking and ART. We found ART was great when we used it. We waited at most 10 minutes to go back and always got a seat (last week of July first week of August). It was also nice that our stop was first. Going from the hotel it was a longer ride due to the route but it if we just walked next door to the store and crossed Harbor we could take any bus that stopped and the next stop was DL/DCA.

It was a 10 minute walk to the hotel and when dh and younger dd took it while older dd and I walked they were always back before us. We also took ART to/from Knotts Berry Farm. It was long but we knew that and were fine with that. Coming back the driver heard we were going to Desert Palms so he stopped at the bus stop across from Harbor/W. Katella and said we could get off there instead of going to the designated stop.

You can actually walk to one of the parking lots and catch their shuttle to the parks??? Don't they frown upon that??

Just wondering as I am taking my 70 year old Mom in October and we are staying at the Days Inn Anaheim West. For me it's walkable, but for my Mom it's not. She is also going to have a scooter with us... I'm just afraid if we walked back and forth the battery may die by the end of the night...

I too hate ART used it during one trip and never again. From that trip on it was walk or drive.

I would walk to the Toy Story lot and take to the park. It will cut the walk by about half.

Looking at this I can't tell, can you walk out the back of the Anaheim Islander to cross the lot to the shuttle?

I think there's a fence. That would also require cutting through the Disneyland employee parking lot.

wow thanks. And for those who use the toy story lot shuttle to get there do you grab the ART shuttle back? We never have trouble waiting for it to go back to the hotel and we usually go in at rope drop and don't leave until we are past the line of tired. What time does their shuttle start and stop?
you can actually take toy story back going into the park the whole left side is just toy story shuttles, toy story ran later than ART while we were there, last ART out of DL was 11:30 toy story was midnight..Park closed at 11
