Here now--BOG ADR tonight and tornado watch...

Wow. I sincerely meant that if the weather was severe enough to prevent a guest from wanting to leave their resort I'd be willing to waive the penalty. I always do my best to take care of my guests and make their trip more magical. If that means saving them 40 dollars, then that's what I do.

There have been many instances where I don't waive the penalty. (Don't feel like going? Sorry. I can modify that reservation, but I won't cancel it and waive your fee. )
Keep up with doing the wonderful job of taking care of your guest and trying to make their trip as magical as it can be:goodvibes. It is CM's like you who keep me coming back! :grouphug:

Don't get me wrong. You sound like a wonderful CM. Employees like you are what keep people returning to WDW. :)

I'm looking at it from a long time DIS board reader. Many people look high & low for loopholes to exploit. If word gets out that CMs are willing to waive the fee for various reasons, soon people will be back to booking multiple ADRS & bombarded CMs with calls at the last minute with a variety of what they consider legitimate reasons to cancel. When they were first discussing implementing a CC hold, many people used weather (rain, cold, etc.) as a reason to not show up for an ADR. It was just one of the many excuses, but the funniest. WDW in the summer is not the place to be, if you're totally opposed to getting wet. It's not your fault. I didn't mean to insinuate it was. None of this would be necessary, if people didn't exploit the system & look for loopholes.

FWIW, I never thought that was the OPs intention. My original reply to this thread was to let the OP know they probably didn't need to be worried about tornadoes. If you don't live here, the weather reports would scare you to death. They're usually very much over hyped.

Thank you. I agree with you 100%, FYI. As far as people double booking, it happens every single day, even with the CC hold. It drives me insane, but I really can't do anything about it, other than warn the guest that the system will recognize the time conflict and automatically cancel one of their ADRs.
