We arrived March 28, 2 BR standard view at BWV.

Did on-line check-in, but it apparently didn't take. Never received our Magic Bands, so I had to re-order them about 2 weeks before we left. Found out they would be ready at check-in. When we arrived, they said they did not have any of our online check-in info. Although, they then said that I had indicated that I wouldn't arrive until midnight so our room wouldn't be ready at the 4:00 check-in time. Hmm. Not sure what all that means. Told them that we would wait but wanted a room furthest from the lobby.

When our room was ready, it was the opposite of our request that I made in the in-person check-in, farthest from the lobby. So we waited for a different room, ended up in 3129/31, second from the end. We really liked it! Not sure if it's for everyone, but were happy.

No problems AT ALL with our Magic Bands, everything is going well.

Have visited all 4 parks, gorgeous weather, lots of fun. Very large crowds.

This morning, arrived at MK at 7am, knocked out 13 attractions, by noon and back to the resort. Cabana at Typhoon Lagoon was a big hit.

Glad you are having a good time and that the MBs are working well. Odd about the online check-in. That's not happened to us yet.

FWIW, next time try "near the tennis courts" for your request rather than "farthest away" or "not" something. I honestly think most human beings (especially those in a hurry) will focus on the key word (lobby) and not the descriptors (farthest away). Anyway, we've had good luck with that theory and hope you do, too.

Thank you for the suggestions, never thought of that.

I was in 4131 in February and I love it there.
I've also been in the same location on the 2nd floor and the first floor.

I ask for this area, but have been offered the elevator rooms several times. They are usually happy to put me back there.

I like to park right there, fill my water bottle with the filtered water by the tennis courts and use the back door.

I don't really love climbing the stairs but it's a healthy activity so I do it.

What is you view like? And do you have a refurbished room? What do you think about both of those?

We have a 2 bedroom at BWV in June and I can't decide if we should request a refurbished room or a particular view.

Could you tell me how you reserved the cabana at TL? We'll be there in August and I think a cabana would be a life saver. Thanks!

Our view would be the parking lot except there are trees kind of shielding them from view (third floor). I will tell you this, it is very quiet. Honestly, the view, to me, is as good as anything except maybe the Boardwalk. I'm sorry about not providing pictures, I simply don't know how.

The room is not refurbished, everything was in good shape though.

Lots of talk on the Boards about the decline in service amongst the Cast Members, I never saw that. We are having a great time.

Re: the cabana, you call the Disney recreation number, I got it off of Allears.net. You have to pre-pay, it is around $300 (for peak time). We have had one the last couple of years, we love it. It is our Disney Rewards splurge.

Sounds like you are having an AWESOME TIME!:cheer2: Does anyone know when the renovations will be completed? Typically, they do sections correct so guests are "minimally disrupted"? Staying in October for one night and wondering what stage the renovations will be. Regarding requesting "tennis court" area, what advantages does this have?:confused3 Is this a "quiet area"(light sleeper). Thanks in advance for any insight!:goodvibes

Thanks for the info on the cabana reservation!! Can you tell me what's included for the $300? I can't seem to find any information pages about this.

We had 6 people in our party (2 adults and 4 teenage boys). You get 6 chairs (adirondack-like) with cushions and 2 footstools. Towels for each person, but we had double that amount. A cooler filled with ice and Disani water (more than one per person). A locker, located at the cabana. A refillable mug for each person in your party, delivered in a Typhoon Lagoon drawstring. They also assign an attendant to you. She gave us a card with her cellphone number to text her if we needed anything. However, she was very attentive and checked in quite frequently. She will take orders and deliver food and drinks (not for the refillable mugs). The food cost is extra. We always bring a big bag of snacks and pack sandwiches. My DH makes fun of me for doing that. He says if we are in $300 for the cabana why not let the kids eat chicken strips!
